Honestly
Same for Mikal
People say being elite is the ability to do it every night when being focus of the D. Clearly Mikal left it all out there last night, huge offensive rebounds in the 4th and what's not but having to come back with that same intensity tonight and he just doesn't have it

Landale has had some horrible airballs tonight

What I'm learning from the broadcast is that if Denver faced every opponent playing on a back to back severely undermanned they'd be pretty (darned) unstoppable.

Saban Lee 4th quarter minutes! Let’s gooo!

Jamaal Murray twists his ankle because if I'm Denver, why in the hell am I playing Murray in the 4th quarter of this game?

With the amount of players Denver has played at this point, feels like they have 3 teams to our 1.

This is fine. I'm fine with this loss. Flush this game.

I watched for a bit, liked what I saw. Inevitable loss. Worst team to play on a back to back in the mile high. Lee and DWJ were both gassed. Not that DWJ will be back next year but if he is, dude will know what he has to do to make it in this league: he needs better handles and develop a couple places to get his shot from midrange and finish. He made some decent passes, his turnovers could be chalked up to being tired, unfamiliar with these minutes and sets. He could be a nice piece in a couple years if he hangs around.
Now when the hell is JJ going to update this roster?!

THIS is why we brought in Saban Lee! NOW do you get it, FF?

Caught most of the first half and saw what everyone else saw. Tough to play in Denver on a B2B as it is, now throw in the injuries, plus maybe the hangover from the win over GS. Sloppy early on with TOs, trying to play at their pace and match their shots but no way that was going to happen. Nuggets don't really scare me tho, they look like a good regular season team but I don't think they have the players for the postseason.

Forget everything I said before. This team is tanking.
Let's go get Wemby, boys!

random observations ...
Okogie has a great work rate. Sometimes a bit brutal on offense, but there is no quit to this guy.
Šarić had another decent game. At the very least, his trade value is increasing.
Washington reminds me a bit of Eddie House. Sometimes incandescent, sometimes wildly askew...

Thoughts on trying to get Trae in the offseason? Feel the price would be too rich for me, but Booker and Trae would be crazy pairing offensively, young defensively is bit yikes.

I wouldn’t do it…offensively it would be great, but I think we’d have major issues defensively in the playoffs and we’d have to give up way too much to bring him in. I also just don’t like Trae and don’t want to root for him.
There are times though when he really looks like the absolute perfect pnr pg. His floater and his lob look exactly the same. He destroys the drop defender. He can pull-up from anywhere(though he’s shooting poorly this year).
I just think you’d need 3 elite defenders to make it work, and even still teams would just target him 1 on 1.

I don't know what it would take to get Trae, but I imagine it would be the 1st round pick this year, plus future picks, and most of our good young players, besides Book.
Dreaming is free, so I can say that a team of Trae, Book, Mikal, Victor W, and Ayton would be awfully nice. Of course that's not possible, but it would be nice.

If we landed Wemby somehow I would definitely not trade for Trae

I think I’d be down depending on the deal.Split T wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 11:07 amI wouldn’t do it…offensively it would be great, but I think we’d have major issues defensively in the playoffs and we’d have to give up way too much to bring him in. Depending on where our draft picks end up being it could be more appealing but maybe something like
Paul, Ayton and 2 1st and 2 swaps
For
Trae and Capela
They gets picks, waive Paul’s salary and get Ayton to add to Murray and their lotto picks ( if we both miss they playoffs ).
Don’t think the hawks would be interested in that but not sure I’d do more than that. Id be more interested in Murray tbh.
