Thybulle is a good defender but his shot and offense has always been a huge problem. Think thats why the 76ers traded him.

Dont think its a great move by the Mavs but I dont think it will matter, Portland will match.

I don't see why Portland would match. Keeping Thybulle does nothing for them.

Agree they shouldnt have matched but they need players. Just always thought Thybulle was way overrated.

The 76ers let him go for almost nothing and they need guys as they are trying to be contenders, says a lot.

I've always liked Bol Bol, but I would prefer Watford.

With either player, we really got to try to get someone in here on a three-year deal.

What's hilarious about Portland is that they gave Grant the contract that they did, but they apparently have no interest in Tyler Herro or Deandre Ayton. And they keep paying Jusuf Nurkic.

Ya Watford actually played well. Bol is a very fascinating talent, but he doesn’t really help us right now. At least not playing how he did in Orlando (26% from 3). But maybe we can rein him in a bit and utilize his talent more appropriately.

In the games he started (33) he shout 36% from 3. But one big problem with Bol Bol is how often he turns it over and his lack of passing ability.

I want Watford because he could bring ball-handling and passing to the starting unit. He could help feed Ayton. Plus he has stretch ability. The ideal 5th starter next to the Big 3 and the part-timer is Kyle Anderson. But in lieu of trading for him, I think Watford might have a chance to provide some of what Anderson would.

Kyle Anderson would be perfect off of the bench. Even in the starting lineup with out a true PG, he'd be such a weapon.

Fun fact, Payne plus Todd just barely crosses the threshold of being enough salary to trade for Anderson. Of course you’d have to find away to sell Minny on it and we have nothing to offer.

More likely would have to be done in conjunction with an Ayton trade where we get a center replacement plus an asset we could redirect to Minnesota.

The Blazers have been a shit show since Paul Allen died, and they weren't even very competent before then.

Kyle Anderson would be an exceptional pickup. But I doubt we could swing it with the trade assets we have.

What's the difference between Thybulle and Okogie?

I'm not very interested in Bol Bol. Seems like kind of a chucker, low bball IQ player who doesn't fit into a scheme or system.

Just watched some of Bol Bol. Man he gets to the rim easy with those long strides. Not much of a real outside threat yet. What a change of pace it would be to run him out at C though.
