Game Day: Spurs (1-2) @ Suns (2-1), Tues 10/31/23

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: TNT

The Suns have their first of two back-to-backs of the Wembanyama experience on Halloween night. The Spurs were dismantled but the Clippers Sunday night and will be looking to bounce back. Once again Beal is out and Book is not expected to play. Let's hope to see our other guys continue to gel around KD so that we'll be that much stronger when Book and Beal return.

I'm pretty sure we're going to get a lot of KD vs. Wemby situations. That should be pretty entertaining on several fronts.

I expect the Suns to continue building momentum after the Jazz game. Tough defense, get out and run, space and shoot. The Spurs are far more erratic. I've seen them look impossible to score on and Vassel make every shot, and then I've seen them look hopeless on offense for 6 minutes straight.

The Suns probably shouldn't be losing to this team at home even with out Booker and Beal.

Do you double-team Wemby? Or do you single-guard him and try to contain all the various other Spurs players? Is Wemby a good enough passer that he'll make you pay for double-teaming him a la Jokic?

Yes.

Wemby is averaging 16 per game, and shooting poorly outside of the paint. I would put Nurk on him, keep him out of the paint, and see what he can do.

Hopefully we see Beal before the New Year and even better if we can see all of Beal, Book and KD on the court together before Valentine's Day. Lots of potential with this team.

Does Wemby get to make the "too small" gesture against every player in the league?

Shouldn't mess around with these guys
Jazz are a better team which we easily handled

Typical young team, play decent in patches but that's it
Wemby highlights are tantalizing but over a whole game he does have efficiency issues and I can't see him going off

Vassell is a talent but that's probably Okogie assignment so young dude would have to be on his A game

Everyone is lamenting the Big 3 which is understandable and focus on the fact that our offense hasn't fully clicked yet
Not really seeing many mention that our D has been good

I'm still wondering what the previously reported "mid-foot" soreness for Booker was all about.

I read that his foot rolled forward…not the typical sideways

Yeah, you can watch it. Unfortunately, it happened late in the opener.

I'm excited to watch Wemby. I love when a hyped young player actually lives up to that hype. It's good for the league. I hope he has a great game with cool highlights, and loses.

Okogie's arms look like they were photoshopped onto his body.

Hmm. Can I find a way to watch this game while trick-or-treating with my kids? How good is the cell signal in my neighborhood...? #dadlife
