Game Day: Suns (26-18) @ Pacers (25-20), Fri 1/26/24

Post by Superbone »

Time: 5:00 pm AZ (4:00 pm PT/7:00 pm ET)
Place: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN
TV: AZ Family 3TV/NBALP

Game 2 of 7 on the road. Suns seven game win streak on the line. The Pacers are coming off an impressive 134-122 home win over the 76ers last night. Siakam is getting more comfortable with his first Pacer triple double. Haliburton out for this one and it will be his fourth straight game missed. He obviously came back Wally’s proverbial one game too early.

The Pacers bench is super impressive, as they don't let up and in fact it feels like they try to push the pace even faster than the starters. The last time the Suns played them, just last week, I saw a stat that their bench outscored our bench 55-9. Is that right?

Am I crazy not to be too scared of them without Halliburton? I guess they did just take down Philly, which is impressive. But Halliburton is the guy I'm really scared of. We shall see.

I’m the one who invented the rule. Wally just likes making fun of me for it. :P

But yeah he probably wanted to play in Siakam’s first game. Stupid move.

I'll be there representing as usual when the Suns come to town. Got the hookup with a buddy 13th row across from the Pacers bench. I live about 10 mins from the arena so Pacers games are super convenient.

Hoping the Pacers might be a little tired from last night's game although the 76ers didn't put up much of a fight.

I think KD is due for another 40 point game. Not getting down 20 points in the first half would be awesome too.

My bad! Yeah, Wally likes to go on and on about it. Didn't know it was directed at you. :D

I never took it as a shot at JG... I honestly thought Wally was just continuing to have fun at our trainers inability to get our guys ready in the time frame they listed.

Everybody is talking about our low bench production but I really don't think it's much of an issue with this team. I mean, we have 3 great scorers, at least one of which is on the court at all times. Of course they're going to get the brunt of our points. But of course, yeah, it always helps when the bench can hit wide open shots made available due to said scorers. Glad to see KBD contributing a little there lately. And Okogie keeps letting it fly occasionally which I appreciate. Always nice when he hits a three like the other day.

You can survive it in the regular season. It becomes much more glaring in the playoffs when teams can scheme against you better and reliable role guys become more critical.

It's not a huge problem because of a healthy big 3, but it certainly helps the team to have a good bench.

Super interesting one this

I said Nesmith and Nembhard deserved some credit for Book's inefficient game last week so want to see how he goes at them tonight especially coming off that En Fuego performance

Haliburton or not
As we seen against them in Phoenix, they're not gonna let up on the pace and we struggled with it a bit. At home they will have more energy, don't think it will be a good idea to do the Get down 15+ Gamescript tonight 🤦‍♂️

Let's go Fellas !

I was just thinking how great it is to be retired and able to watch these early starts. I was still working this time last year.

Lady ref from last time warning
Jones and Vogel out, Lue or Lee in, draft Grant Nelson or Tyler Kolek.

As usual I have to watch on replay but just catching some of the 1st half fore heading work 😏
