Knicks are winning the deadline…OG, Bojan, Burks…those are all great players. To me they are a clear top 2 team in the East now and I think they can go to the finals.
Idk if this would qualify as a hot take or not, but even knowing good the Celtics and Knicks are playing, I think the NBA championship goes to a west team.

I feel like both the nuggets and clippers would beat any East team in a comfortable 6 games. I know I’m biased but I still think we can beat any East team in a 7 game series too. I wouldn’t be overly confident but I’d like our chances very much.

This kind how I would rank the of contenders and the gaps I would separate them by

1.Nuggets
2. Clips

3. Suns

4. Celtics
5.Knicks

6.Bucks
7.Cavs
8. Thunder

9. 76ers (Embiid’s health)
10.Mavs
12.Pacers
13. Heat
14.Kings
15.Pelicans
16. Magic

Knicks went all-in but if OG and Randle miss significant time, Bogi may not be enough to cover those losses. If they made the deal knowing those guys are out, they'll be able to stay afloat and maybe win a series. If OG and/or Randle come back relatively heathy, they'll be in a good spot. The East up for grabs tho so it's as good a season as any. The irony is that the Knicks finally drafted well with RJ, IQ and Grimes, had a nice young core and then traded all 3 in a month.

Thad Young is going to the Nets too in the deal, could be a buyout candidate.

Thad was washed 2 years ago. Nothing more than a 12th man at this point. If this is the talent we're to pick from might as well bring back Ross and Warren.

I think Young can still defend at a decent level.

Hate that Dallas is getting Washington.

This is about as dumb of a trade as you can make. No wonder Charlotte is consistently an embarrassment.

Killian Hayes was just waived…wouldn’t mind picking him up for one of those roster spots we created.
