Looks like Thad Young has more going on than just basketball. https://reformventures.com/ Don't know what kind of legs he has left at 35 but his brain looks to be in good working order.

This board has been wanting him for probably a decade lol.

Hope he's got some juice left, bench needs it.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

Really good news. Need him in the frontcourt, a lot of defensive versatility.

Even if he’s not an every day guy…if he can just be another option when we need it for 10 minutes or so I’ll be happy

Book/Beal/Allen/KD/Nurk with
Gordon/O’Neale/Thad off the bench is a pretty strong top 8 if Thad can hold up.

And if Gordon holds up. Hopefully suns can round into shape chemistry wise and back off giving a lot of minutes to Little, Eubanks and Okogie to save playoff legs of KD and Book and Nurk.

Playoff rotation -

F - Durant, Allen, O'Neale, Young, (Okogie)
C - Nurkic, Eubanks (Bol)
G - Booker, Beal, Gordon, (D. Lee)

They could probably still use some offense off the bench

I think Young is mostly a 5 now…I’d put him in Eubanks spot, move Eubanks to Bol’s spot and move Bol to Young’s spot.

I don't see Eubanks getting much more than spot minutes once the playoffs start - Durant and Young will probably get the backup minutes there. I don't see Bol or Okogie getting many minutes in the postseason either, but I see a role for Eubanks against bigger teams.

Ya I think we will probably stick with Eubanks for now and try to phase Thad in as a small ball option that might become our primary option come playoff time.

And we still have 1 open roster spot left, is that correct?

We do. I’d keep it open and wait to see what we need, but I hear we are interested in Gallinari. I’d be ok with that

Well, I hope he's still got enough juice left. I'll see it when I believe it. Can't say the Suns aren't going for it this year.

How is Young's defense? I hope it's better than his career 3 pt percentage of 32.8%. Oof.

If he does better than Warren or Ross last year that's great! But I just don't see it. Also not great that he's shooting 16% from 3 this year.
