Young doesn’t shoot 3s guys…his 16% is about as relevant as Eubanks 100%. Young is 1/6. He’s a C now and has played 96% of his minutes at the 5 this year. We don’t need him to shoot 3s if he’s playing the 5. Picture him playing very similar to Nurk. Sets screens, playmakes from the short roll. Better finisher and touch than Nurk, but obviously smaller and not the low post threat.

Historically he’s been a good defender, but I can’t speak to how that’s held up. He’s always been a high steals and deflections guy. This is the one area where I worry he’s not the same. I would expect he’d hold up better than Nurk on switches, but not going to be the same rim protector or rebounder.

Stocks is a term you see in fantasy also
Simply means total number of stls and blks

Haven't watched him this year but this goes with what I know
Just an IQ guy with quick hands so that's how he still impacts on D despite his age
On the offensive end, it's not much different to that dude in GS. Shooting 3s no guarantee but he's savvy enough to probably take two dribbles and hit a backdoor pass or make a solid read as defense rotate

It works for me. There are certainly far worse options out there than Young. I just hope he has enough youth left in his legs.

Thaddeus Old.

I think he'll be just peachy.
Jones and Vogel out, Lue or Lee in, draft Grant Nelson or Tyler Kolek.

Yes, we've been wanting him for years, but like others have said, I just hope he has something left in the tank! I still would like to see us sign a point guard with the last spot. But we may just keep it open, at least for awhile.

He also doesn't shoot many free throws, but the percentage there is a bit concerning (41.7%).

Lol, I'm old enough to remember when the board was hyping up Nurk's three point shooting.

That “!!!” is based on a tiny sample size (50/11). His career ratio is 1.30.

I don't remember seeing much talk of that. He's made a few 3s here and there, but mostly that hasn't been what we have wanted from him.

I think we were optimistic he could do it. He shot 37% last year…it just didn’t prove to be real.

Ya…it’s still only 12 attempts…but it’s not great

1.8 to 1 since 2018 when he started being more of a playmaker and it’s 2.14 to 1 since 2020.

Would've been nice if guys like KBD and Metu had that mindset as well. That's not to say they were selfish, but it also didn't seem like they fully embraced their role once the rotation opportunities became available.

I heard there's something with the timing of his signing and reducing the tax penalty and that's why it's been delayed, but he should be with the team soon.
