There's a lot of woulda, coulda, shoulda in Suns history -

1976 - They coulda won if Richie Fucking Powers had called a technical on Boston for excessive timeouts in game five of the Finals
1979 - They shoulda won instead of fumbling away game 7 of the Western Conference Finals
1981 - They shoulda crushed Kansas City in the playoffs but didn't
1994 & 1995 - They shoulda taken advantage of Jordan being retired but fell apart in the playoffs both years
2005 - They coulda won if not for Joe Johnson's broken face
2007 - They coulda won if not for the suspension of Amare and Diaw
2021 - They shoulda won after being up 2 games to 0 in the Finals against the Bucks

What it comes down to is I don't really think they have ever been considered the favorites/best team except for 2021-22 and they threw it in neutral at the end of the season and couldn't turn it back on in the playoffs.

Come on, man. You have to start that with the coin flip in 1969. We are coming up on the 55th anniversary.

1993 - Coulda won the title if Cedric Ceballos didn't break his foot in the second round of the playoffs
2009 - Coulda had Steph Curry If the Warriors didn't go back on the trade they agreed to for Amare Stoudemire
