I’ve been saying Nurk needs to be in those 2nd units with KD if we are missing one of Book/Beal

Always good to see David's breakdown
Like I said in the OKC thread, we play some legit stuff when we keep the ball moving

I just feel it's little tweaks that could be made to solve the stagnant issues. I trust this probable 8-man rotation more than last season

Yup
This usually results in the good ball movement as D try to help and recover

All-Star game will be in Phoenix in 2027. That is the announcement as expected. Silver is there.

Edit: Even better. Some stones to do it with Silver standing next to him.

Again, it feels good to have a real owner who gives a shit.

Has he upgraded the medical/trainer staff?

Dunno, but I don't think an upgraded staff prevents any of the injuries the Suns have suffered.

Vogel's right about this and it feels like we've been playing with some better pace and ball movement while Book's been out. I was going to joke that Book's actually the problem on the team, but the truth is that Book and KD are off-ball players/scorers while Beal is an on-the-ball scorer. As much as we've tried (forced) Book to be the PG ala Harden/Luka, he's a scorer. And when he's on the ball at point, he's mostly probing and looking to score or defenses are blitzing him to make others score. It's not like he's running offense looking to pass and set others up. That doesn't come naturally to him like Harden or Luka (as much as they still look to score). So it's taking away from his natural scoring ability and forcing tougher shots on others. Beal has the burst to collapse a defense for kickouts, but being on the ball also puts Book back in his natural scoring position working off screens where he can catch and look to score right away like he used to with Rubio and CP. This could be the adjustment we need down the stretch.

Agreed. I don't like when Book is looking to distribute at the expense of getting his own shot. I hate when Durant does it too. Just shoot the damn ball, man. Don't throw it out to Saben Lee behind the three point line! Play the percentages.

It did feel weird in this game that the ball kept swinging to Saban Lee…probably by design for Toronto, but it’s tough because he won’t even think about shooting most of the time.

Well, I'm glad he had the focus to finish his workout. I would have just wrapped it up and called Book back.

We played some of our best basketball in OT against the Nuggets. Somebody needs to start telling the team we're in OT rather than the 4th quarter.

If you tell them it’s OT, they stop playing after five minutes.
