Who do you take over DeAndre aitson, Yusuf nurkic, or whimpanyama?

I honestly just wanted to see how my Google voice to text with would transcribe all of their names

Apparently it also transcribes “would” as “with.” If you must use speech to text, proofread.

No thanks, it's enough dealing with chronic pain; I will continue to willingly subject you all to the occasional glitch in The Matrix. Such as with unwanted capitalizations🥹

This is a cute story about how the Inside the NBA crew made a video for a guy's bar mitzvah.

Paul George maybe leaving the Clippers? Others have posted about this, but the rumors are getting louder now.

Paul George is doing the Clippers a favor.

And they'd be nuts to pay Harden.

Clippers still don’t have control of any of their picks until 2030…we might be in a rough place future wise, but the clippers are in a worse one.
I don't see that big of a difference between the two situations.

I agree, draft-pick-wise. We at least have our stars tied up into multi-year contracts, for better (Book, KD) or worse (Beal). But both teams basically have no draft capital for a decade. I know we technically have a pick every other year, but it's a swapped pick, so it won't be very good any of those years.

Ya I’d say the difference is we don’t have KD and Beal as free agents this summer and we have Booker, who is younger and more reliable than Kawhi. They might lose PG and Harden this summer and be a lottery team without the pick.

Wow. Tell that to the mother's of the players we draft those years!
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

We'll trade away the players we draft those years anyway.

Eh. He wouldn’t have been terrible, but we’d have had to pass on Okobo.

Jalen Brunson was in the 2018 Draft, aka the De***** Ay*** draft. Suns had the #1 pick and somehow ended up with almost nothing to show for it. The #10 pick in that draft turned out pretty good, though: Mikal Bridges. Some other pretty decent players in that draft:

#1 DeAndra Anus
#3 Luka Doncic
#4 Jaren Jackson Jr
#5 Trae Young
#7 Wendell Carter Jr
#8 Collin Sexton
#10 Mikal Bridges
#11 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
#12 Miles Bridges
#14 Michael Porter Jr
#17 Donte DiVincenzo
#20 Josh Okogie
#24 Anfernee Simons
#26 Landry Shamet (lol)
#32 Jevon Carter
#33 Jalen Brunson
#36 Mitchell Robinson
#37 Gary Trent Jr
#42 Bruce Brown
#46 De'Anthony Melton
#49 Chimezie Metu
#54 Shake Milton
Drew Eubanks (undrafted)
Jock Landale (undrafted)
Kendrick Nunn (undrafted)
Duncan Robinson (undrafted)
Yuta Watanabe (undrafted)

That was a really deep and talented incoming NBA class, wow.

The amount of average the Suns have employed from that draft is hilarious.

Next up, Marvin Bagley

You forgot Okobo at #31, two before Brunson. And I did want Brunson there in that draft for the record.

I got blocked on twitter a couple years ago by Ryan McDonough for pointing out that the Suns should have drafted him over Elie Okobo.

I wonder what he would have done if I mentioned that he shouldn't have traded the Lakers pick(#10) for Brandon freakin Knight? Then his proposed trade that would have gotten them SGA could have happened too, while also getting Mikal at 10.

I could have pointed out that he should have drafted Luka and could have taken Robinson at 31 also.

You could have filled out the starting lineup for a title team with just the picks we should have had in that draft. But hey, why do that if you can give away control of your draft picks for a decade?
