First things first... Tony Parker going for an MRI today on his back. Highly doubt you see him vs the Mavs Thursday or Suns friday.

Didn't see it...but even if I did

You don't think it deserves its own thread?

We need days and dates so we can track them each night. Also games back.

Some things of note about the upcoming schedule:

1. Memphis is on a back-to-back going into the game against us (here in Phoenix). GOOD
2. The Suns are on a back-to-back going into the game against Dallas (in Dallas). BAD
3. The Spurs are on a back-to-back going into the game against us (in San Antonio, likely w/out Parker) GOOD

I hope the playoff race doesn't come down to the very last game of the season. I have a feeling it's going to come down to whoever wins that Memphis-PHX game, which is scary considering how easily they've dismantled us in 3 previous meetings this season.

The Warriors are still within reach, but their schedule is light from here on out. Barring a number of freak injuries, I don't see them falling out of the 6-spot. Portland has righted the ship just enough to hold on to their 5-spot, as well. It's all about the Suns, Mavs, and Grizz from here on out.

If Gerald Green stays hot, I think we make it.

Yeah, we've always had a bad habit of playing down to the competition.

The Pelicans are scary because their best player is better than anybody on our team. You can never sleep on a team like that, regardless of their record. That's why the Knicks are a more interesting playoff team than the Hawks, even as atrocious as the Knicks are this year.

Plus I'll be there, and we haven't won with me in attendance in a while.

(Sorry.)

Honest questions: Do we want to make the playoffs? Do we have any chance against San Antonio or Oklahoma City in the first round?

I've never been much of a believer in fighting to get into the playoffs only to get bounced in 5 or 6 games. I know we see the occasional major first round upset, but I don't know how much value comes from those extra first round games when the upset doesn't happen.

I guess my take on it is, what's the point of getting the #14 pick? It won't be very good. I have faith that we can acquire talent in other ways. I'd rather see our guys go to the playoffs and get a little taste of what that's like. I want this team to win and be successful. They're good enough to make it and the experience would do a lot of them good. It will remind them of how they need to be better next year and what the real competition is.
