Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: FSAZ, NBALP
These are not the same old Magic. They have won 6 out of their last 7. Suns need to take care of home court and build on their last win.
Go Suns!!!

I would take Aaron Gordon for Markieff.

I'd even take Channing Frye off their hands for our trouble... but yeah, I'm just dreaming.Ring_Wanted wrote:No shit hahahpickle wrote:I would take Aaron Gordon for Markieff.

Believe or not, the Magic are not unhappy with Frye this year. Team is improving, he is doing what he was signed for and his contract is not horrible anymore.

I was reading Zach Lowe's quarter-season report where he claims the Magic's recent hot streak is catalyzed by moving Oladipo to the bench in a Ginobili-esque super sub role, to separate him from Elfrid Peyton in the starting lineup (because both of them are bad shooters). They are also playing now-healthy Channing Frye more, and both of these moves add up to better spacing and shooting.
I still like the way we have played the past 2-3 games without much Kieff in the lineup. Hopefully Coach keeps our hard-working and sharp-shooting players on the floor like he's done in the past few games.

Orlando's lineup changes were mentioned in an around the league news thread. Indeed, Fournier+Frye's shooting instead of Dipo+Gordon's athleticism are paying off so far.
You can get away with Gordon, but pairing Dipo and Payton is a suicide. Neither cracks 40%FG, 80%FT or 34%3pt.

A lot of these teams that decided to go with "length" and "athleticism" are falling on their faces. In particular, Milwaukee's experiment seems to be a total flop. The trend today is to get a bunch of great 3-point snipers and space the floor. Not athletic idiots running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Officially, Morris is considered questionable to play tonight

I hope so. The alternative explanation is that the poor guy really is suffering from a sinus infection, and I wouldn't want that.

Something is definitely cooking. Ever since he was a voluntary DNP PD for the Pistons game, he has fallen completely out of favor. However, he does not seem overtly unhappy. I am assuming that a trade has been agreed upon and he knows about it.

Either way the Suns are better off without him.

Thought Markieff was more of a Pepsi guy. Makes sense now.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Mirza is a way better player than I gave him credit for.
