I finally just got caught up and watched the season finale. Wow, it felt like the series finale. In fact, I had to go look it up to see that the series has indeed been picked up for a fourth season.

That would have been a helluva cliffhanger to end the series on.... I love that the show is constantly changing the status quo in order for our heroes to even survive. The deck is completely stacked against them.

Its always been a super hero show hiding in plain sight, but now, even more so, they must adopt civilian secret identities, that can never be associated with the super heroics. Awesome stuff.

Anyone watch The Leftovers? It was pretty meh for me. I'll probably check out a few more episodes though.

I read the description, but it sounded like someone just ripped off the Christian "Left Behind" series and brought it to TV, and there are enough apocolyptic shows on right now.

I have started both "The Last Ship" and "Legion" err Dominion, but its the movie Legion for TV, so i call it Legion.

When does that start up? I heard they've already green lighted a season two.

The Strain needs some decent writers STAT. "I've never seen a plane up close before. It looks like a building with wings!" Groan. So bad. Also, the vampire was just so ridiculous. I did enjoy the books, and I hope the show gets better.

I just downloaded the Contstantine pilot, the pilot of the Strain, and the first episode of Extant, starring Halle Barry. I also have The Last Ship and The Leftovers on deck (so many apocolyptic / disease shows right now!)

And yet what have I been watching? Haven and Warehouse 13, which i had previously discounted as cheap imitations of my favorite shows, which is now quite acceptable since all of my shows get cancelled... :D And cartoons, lots of cartoons.... :D

The Flash pilot was intriguing. It has potential.

Lately I am watching Orange is the New Black (season 1), and True Detective. Both are fun. My girl makes me watch The Bachelorette with her every week. Ugh. It rots my brain!

My wife and I just recently got all caught up on Parenthood. If you are a part of a family, this show hits all the feels. I'm a sensitive guy myself and don't mind tearing up from time to time when I watch television, so this one is right up my alley. Sentimental without being soap opera-y. Smart dialogue, realistic plotlines. Season 5 portrayed the dissolution of a formerly rock-solid marriage about as accurately and sensitively as I've ever seen on television.

It's from the same showrunner as Friday Night Lights, and the two shows are very similar in tone and structure. FNL might be the greatest realistic television show ever, and Parenthood rivals it at times.

A couple of weeks ago, I was watching new episodes of Game of Thrones, Louie, Fargo, and Mad Men all at the same time, and all 4 shows ended their seasons at approximately the same time. It was a very depressing time for me when it was all over.

Louie Season 4 was my favorite season of television since Breaking Bad ended.

I can't believe the number of Apocolyptic / Disease / End of the world shows on Sunday nights.

The Last Ship.
The Lottery.
Falling Skies.
The Strain.
The Leftovers.

plus Dominion on thursdays (the TV show of the movie Legion.)

With Helix having finished a season, Walking Dead having finished a season, The 100 finishing a season, and Revolution getting cancelled.

When they find a genre they like, they beat it to *death.*
