Another great mini series was The English. Emily Blunt is awesome in it (and she's 🔥).
I started it a while back and agree it’s really good. Will have to go back to finish it.

Palm Royal on appletv is pretty good too.
Yeah, looking forward to starting PR.
It's great to see Carol Burnette... She kills it.

That's awesome. Amazing how sharp she still is at 90 years old. Plus, I hear her coma acting is to die for.

‘Bone, ever seen Grandmas Boy?

When you mentioned staying with your mom for a little bit and the fact you worked in the gaming industry made me think of this movie…. One of my faves back in the day.

I haven’t checked this thread in awhile and it took off. I just read through several pages. Sorry I missed the marriage sharing part. I love sharing intimate details of my life over the internet to hackers. I’ll go anyway.

I’m on the road playing hotels around the country for two weeks at a time in a horn band. I’m in Erie PA at the Hilton downtown. They tell us the next night will feature a modeling runway thing as well as the band. I’m playing and this hot tall woman is dancing in front of me giving me the eye. I’m thinking she is one of the models on the next night. I go on break and talk to her. She won the bet. Her and her friend like going to bars and making bets. She picks out some dude for her friend and her friend picks out a some dude for her. The bet is you have to get the guy to talk to you. You can’t speak to him. He has to speak to you first. Her friend randomly picked me and we ended up getting married.

A nice story except we got divorced after nine years. I realized I married a hot chick that I had nothing in common with who wasn’t into me. She ended up marrying some guy she worked with not long after we split up and having a baby.

I met another woman and we dated for nine years. I thought she would try to change me into the man she wanted like men assume most women want to do. She didn’t. She let me be me. I asked her to marry me in Jamaica on the dance floor. She thought I was joking. We have been married for just over 20 years and together over 30 years now.

If you are looking for words of wisdom on staying married it would be, always show respect for your partner to your partner.

Just added this to the top of my TV list. I also started Sugar the other day and it was entertaining. Also started the Steve Martin doc. Still haven't started Palm Royale. Too many good shows!

I was confused at first when you were talking about the hot tall woman as you've said your wife is a gymnast and they tend to be on the shorter, petite side. Yeah, I fell for the hot, sexy woman thing with my ex. We did have quite a bit in common but the hidden alcoholism was a killer. I'm sure if I wasn't smitten at the time, I may have seen the signs better. I'm ready for next time though! However, I'm in no hurry to get hitched again. In fact, I can't see myself getting officially married again.

We did in Erie. I guess there is a large gay community there and us being straight guys made us popular. Three guys in the band met their wives at the same club. None of us are still married to those girls though. I didn’t do nearly as well as some guys did getting girls on the road. I am a shy guy around women and they have to practically grope me before I get the hint. Other guys in the band were a lot smoother. The sax player was one of the least desirable looking guys in the band and yet by far the best at picking up women.

I met my second wife at a bar as well. I was house sitting for my brother in Chandler and a band I know was playing around the corner. I sat in with them and then sat at the bar afterwards. The guy next to me nudges me and says the girl next to him asked him to ask me something. I don’t remember what it was but, after a couple of times of him doing that I got the hint that she wanted to talk to me and walked over and started talking to her since she was obviously stalking me.

In my case, I somehow managed to find the most beautiful and wonderful woman on this Earth despite being a computer dork. I'll take it!

Maybe you're both secretly married to the same woman. Guys have pulled this off before. Switching back and forth between households.

Is TOO a computer dork too, or is there a variety thing going on here?

The name is "TOO", as in also, so that might have been a clue to Mori that went past him.
