As many as five GOP candidates in MI have been caught in a ballot signature fraud scheme and may be disqualified from the election. Oops.

One can forget sometimes that a lot of these people (elected Republicans) are actually quite stupid.

Yeah, she's not too bright. She also wrote about Marshall Law. Amazing the quality of people in Congress these days.

She's just fascist blonde Sarah Palin. Palin was in many ways the template for the modern GOP: loud, extreme, and stupid.

I think there are a ton of very smart people in the GOP. They just are not the people being elected. They are the people pulling the strings. I think you are describing the elected GOP/GQP.

That's fair.

When Trump, or one of his cronies, lose an election, they call it fraud. Even if they clearly lose by 50 percentage points.

Complaining about not being able to lie to Congress or to the FBI. Has to be a politician.

Michigan candidate for governor, Ryan Kelley, arrested by FBI for Jan. 6 involvement

A Michigan candidate for governor, Ryan Kelley, faces misdemeanor criminal charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021 attack at the U.S. Capitol.

Kelley was arrested by the FBI Thursday at his home in Allendale in western Michigan. He is scheduled to appear later Thursday at the U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids.

Documents say that Kelley was part of a crowd that tried to disrupt the certification of President Biden as the winner of the November election. The evidence includes photos and videos of the insurrection that were posted online.

Kelley is a Republican candidate for governor who will appear on the August statewide primary ballot. That's not the case for numerous other Republicans who were accused of submitting fraudulent signatures and were dropped from the ballot.

The criminal complaint alleges that Kelley, among other things, knowingly entered and engaged in disorderly conduct in restricted buildings or grounds and engaged in an act of physical violence against a person or property.

A rumor is going around that GOP Rep Lauren Boebert has had one or more abortions, and/or that she previously worked as a paid escort.

I'm not seeing a ton of mainstream media on this; maybe it's too poorly sourced or too salacious, or maybe the evidence is insufficient, or maybe it's just too early. Here are a few links about the topic. For what it's worth, Boebert denies the claims, and I haven't seen direct links to evidence of their being true, so I'll update this here if the story turns out to be false or exaggerated.

Last night Jim Marchant won the GOP primary to be Secretary of State for Nevada. That is frightening. If he wins the general election, he has pledged to essentially participate in a coup the likes of 1/6 by overturning the will of the voters. We are so close to losing our democracy, it's scary.

Record-High 50% of Americans Rate U.S. Moral Values as 'Poor'
https://news.gallup.com/poll/393659/rec ... -poor.aspx
Bottom Line

Americans' views of the state of moral values in the U.S. are dismal, and their expectations for the future are grim. This has generally been the case over the course of the 20-year trend, but negative ratings of the current state of moral values are the worst they have ever been. A lack of consideration for others is cited as the top problem, but racism has crept up as an issue.

I am surprised it isn't way higher. I think when you ask Dems they are thinking of all the racism and banning of books and lying about elections. When you ask GOP they are thinking of "CRT" and lbgtq and grooming.

Right, which is why I expected that number to be higher.
