Mike Johnson is in a conundrum as any Speaker would be today. Trump and his supporters in Washington don’t want any aid going to Ukraine. Dems and normal Republicans do want aid going to Ukraine. Will he put it up for a stand alone vote? Not if Trump has anything to do with it and Trump clearly is in charge of the entire Republican Party. Stay tuned….

Wasn't he polling at 90% prior to the election? Getting 88% of the vote shouldn't be too surprising, but I don't rule out it being a farce.

Latest I've heard there are at least 40 people dead now and hundreds injured.

Like usual, there are conflicting reports. It was ISIS terrorists who claimed responsibility. Or maybe Russian forces attacking their own to galvanize support for an escalation of the war. The US warned Americans to avoid concerts for 48 hours but that was on the 7th of March, two weeks before the massacre. Ukraine is worried they will be blamed.

Russia says 40 dead, 145 injured in concert hall raid; Islamic State group claims responsibility
https://apnews.com/article/russia-mosco ... 4a3250faa1
MOSCOW (AP) — Several assailants burst into a large concert hall in Moscow on Friday and sprayed the crowd with gunfire, killing at least 40 people, injuring more than 100 and setting fire to the venue in a brazen attack just days after President Vladimir Putin cemented his grip on power in a highly orchestrated electoral landslide.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement posted on affiliated channels on social media, which couldn’t be independently verified. It wasn’t immediately clear what happened to the attackers after the raid, which state investigators were investigating as terrorism.

Moscow shooting a ‘deliberate provocation by Putin’s special services,’ says Ukraine’s military intelligence
https://www.yahoo.com/news/moscow-shoot ... 42458.html
Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) has said a deadly shooting on a concert hall in Moscow on March 22 is a “deliberate provocation by Putin's special services.”

"This is a deliberate provocation by Putin's special services, about which the international community warned,” Andrii Yusov, a spokesperson of Ukraine's military Intelligence, told Ukrainska Pravda.

In a post on its Telegram channel, HUR claimed the shooting is intended to justify "even tougher" attacks on Ukraine and total mobilization in Russia.

Just hours after the attacks began, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, warned of retaliation against Ukraine if “terrorists of the Kyiv regime” were found to be behind them.

“If it is established that these are terrorists of the Kyiv regime, it is impossible to deal with them and their ideological inspirers differently,” he wrote in a post on Telegram.

“All of them must be found and mercilessly destroyed as terrorists. Including officials of the state that committed such atrocity. Death for death.”

The U.S. Embassy in Moscow warned Americans to avoid going to concerts in Moscow just weeks before gunmen launched an attack at a concert venue on Friday.
https://www.newsweek.com/us-embassy-war ... ks-1882548
Just weeks prior on March 7, the U.S. Embassy issued a warning telling Americans to not go to concert venues.

"The Embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, to include concerts, and U.S. citizens should be advised to avoid large gatherings over the next 48 hours," the alert reads.

It remained unclear what prompted the warning, and whether it was related to the attack on Friday. It also remained unknown if any Americans were present at the concert.

Other Western embassies issued similar warnings.

Russian President Vladimr Putin, however, dismissed the alerts as an attempt to intimidate Russians, the AP reported.

I was waiting to see where this went. ISIS terrorists took credit for the massacre. Ukraine says Putin’s guys did it to anger Russians into going all in in Ukraine. Today Putin blamed Ukraine.

Yep…

So it's not ISIS, even though they took credit for it? I wonder how this continues to change.

I have no idea who did it. I know we have three different entities being blamed for it and only one of those entities probably committed the act. ISIS says they did it. Ukraine says Russia did it. Russia says Ukraine did it.

I have no idea either, but to verify it was ISIS, they released body cam footage of the killers. That is more compelling evidence that they did it

ISIS is probably pissed that they pulled off a successful terrorist attack and no one wants to give them their credit.

I really don't know who did it. It was interesting that they didn't yell "Alah Akbar!" when they did it. ISIS is known to do these things without expecting to come out alive, so they usually strap themselves up with bomb vests to not be taken alive. And we're finding out that they were loaded up with money(Rubles) and heading to the Ukrainian border.

The Russians weren't playing around when they captured them.

Everyone has agreed now that it was ISIS that did the attack. So let's just agree on that and move on.

I'd love to, but it's not that cut and dry anymore. Too many things point it to something else, or someone trying desperately to pin it on ISIS.
