The other examples you gave are either minor or wrong. Bowman's fire alarm stunt was bad, but not worthy of expulsion from Congress. Omar did not say she is "really working for Somalia"; that is based on a mistranslation and is a false partisan attack. Swalwell didn't know that he was romantically involved with a foreign agent, and when he found out, he cooperated with investigations into the matter. Do you really want people expelled from Congress for things like this?

If SCOTUS rules that it’s up to Congress to decide on January 6th, then that settles it. They must follow that Constitutional process. If Congress then determines that Trump is constitutionally ineligible, then Tim Scott (or whoever is the Vice President elect) will serve as President “until a President shall have qualified.” (https://constitution.congress.gov/brows ... section-3/)

There is no destruction of democracy in that scenario. In fact, the way the Vice President is elected nowadays, it would be the exact same people voting for Tim Scott as voting for Donald Trump. Scott would be the democratically elected acting President.

Sinema announces she will NOT be running for Senate in 2024. This is good news for AZ Dems because she was threatening to split the Dem vote and could have led to a Kari Lake win in AZ.

Political views aside, Sinema was awful. She promised one set of things, got elected, and then behaved entirely differently. All while shamelessly buddying up to donors, lobbyists, special interest groups, basically anybody who would give her money. She became a corrupt swamp creature. The Dems of AZ are absolutely right to reject her.
