the inventor of javascript and CTO of Mozilla was ousted for donating 1,000 dollars for prop 8.

Thats not the point. No one is arguing that. What he thinks or does in his personal time and life should have absolutely NO bearing on his job. That is the exact OPPOSITE of tolerance. He has a right to his opinion, no matter how unpopular it may be, and should be able to spend his money in his personal time however he sees fit, without worrying about discrimination costing him his job.... the double standard is ridiculous.
