Game Day (Preseason): Blazers (0-1) @ Suns (1-1), Fri 10/05/18

Jackson isn't mentally engaged tonight. I would say to sit him, but who else can dribble and pass?
Chandler, slow as he is, is still a better defender than Holmes.
I like Melton. He is bringing fire tonight. He's gonna have his ups and downs this season.
Okobo looks good for stretches, but he isn't ready for big minutes.
Reed is not an nba player.

Jackson with the offensive foul. One thing I'll say, his ball handling has certainly progressed since last season.

Ariza heroically banks in a 3.

Melton misses a floater but gets in the mix on the boards. I like him so far.

Strange shot by Holmes. You aren't Tony Parker, young man.

Holmes is making it known - HE will take Chriss' place as Phoenix's most prolific fouler.

I wonder how short McDonough's leash is

Bender's teammates are not taking advantage of all the offensive rebound opportunities he's creating for them

Bender? With the aggressive drive to the hoop and draws the foul.

Bender looks a little more comfortable tonight. I'd like to see him out there with Ayton. Maybe he can make an entry pass.

I have been a McDonough apologist in the past. But the more I think about it... why *are* we hanging on to him? What has he done to keep his job? He has certainly made a ton of mistakes. Sometimes change is necessary. There has got to be a better option out there.

Still, we are better with them in the game than we were with Harrison. The Bobster wrote: ↑Fri Oct 05, 2018 8:38 pmCanaan and Okobo have combined for 28 minutes, 1 assist and 4 turnovers.

Bender goes 1-2 at the line.

Reed gets annihilated on a layup attempt that never had a chance.
