Would anyone have guessed that Alex would end up shooting the three better than anyone on our team in the preseason?

Was watching Trae Young in action after he hit the game winner and someone else looked pretty good.

If you are interested there is the link.
He looks really good in those highlights, until the end when he misses the dunk. I'm glad to see someone might unlock his potential.

Man, the Heat love to hand out $13 million/yr contracts to mediocre players.

James Johnson, Tyler Johnson, and Dion Waiters all say hi.
Free Agency
DeMar Derozan for the minimum!

PG: Jordan McLaughlin, Killian Hayes, Kris Dunn, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris
C: Mo Bamba, Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, Goga Bitadze, Jay Huff

For all the credit Pat Riley gets, he sure does to love overpay unproven players.

I wonder if our backup C wagon is already hitched to Holmes because Davis is not a bad option since the Warriors didn't keep him.
Go Suns!

Was rooting for Ulis. Thought he might be able to find a bench role for the Warriors especially since they are a little thin at the end of their bench lately with all the top-heavy star salaries. I guess he's still struggling pretty hard. Maybe he needs to play overseas for a while or something.

Yay, go Tyler! I want the guy to make it in the NBA. I think he can contribute to an NBA team as a pass-first backup PG and is still improving. (Is Tyler Ulis honestly worse than the bantha fodder group of PGs we currently have?)

Bonzie Colson was waived by Cleveland. I would love to bring him in on a 2-way deal.

He was worse than Canaan and Harrison last year.

Yes he is worse. We saw it on the court clearly last year.

By what metric are you judging? I just wanted him to run the offense and set guys up. He did average 4.4 assists per game last season in 23.4 minutes/game, which is way ahead of any of our other awful PGs. I concede that his game had other major weaknesses (e.g. .388 FG%, poor defense) but the passing was pretty decent.

The last few plays of the quarter, he would look for his own shot every single time. He never really got it that he was going to have to be a special passer to make it in the league.
