Or maybe a third team can give us a point guard and we don't have to take Rivers.

Re: Suns trade Ariza to Wizards
Only in Phx. Jesus why do they want Rivers? So dumb.
Re: Suns trade Ariza to Wizards
austin rivers is the wrong guy to target. It should be Lin or Dragic, but James Jones probably not into that. Everybody knows lonzo has no future with the lakers, and that josh hart is the future starting PG for lebron.
Re: Suns trade Ariza to Wizards
lonzo's a bad fit with lebron, and he doesnt usually play in 4th qtrs of tight games
Re: Suns trade Ariza to Wizards
What makes you think he’s not a good fit with Lebron?
Re: Suns trade Ariza to Wizards
he cant play off the ball to lebron during times where it counts the most. ie playoffs.
Re: Suns trade Ariza to Wizards
Maybe not right now, but I think he could soon. He feels more like a transition ball handler. In the half court he should play more of a secondary role. But if lakers want to win at all costs this year, moving him might make sense. I just think ball could be pretty useful in the last 2-3 years of Lebron’s deal in LA. Plus he gives them a talented player for when Lebron leaves.

I think the idea is not to take on money. Dragic kills our cap space, and he's not good enough to solve our problems long term. Lin would work. But the Hawks don't want to take on money either.

ariza and the mil pick for lin.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:38 amI think the idea is not to take on money. Dragic kills our cap space, and he's not good enough to solve our problems long term. Lin would work. But the Hawks don't want to take on money either.

Why would you give up that pick for half a year of Lin in a lost season?SDC wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:38 amariza and the mil pick for lin.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:38 amI think the idea is not to take on money. Yep, I’m only willing to give up the Milwaukee pick for a pg that could be our pg of the future
Re: Suns trade Ariza to Wizards
This is an absolute calamity. Another benchmark for how bad this franchise is. Now we're about to do the panic trade that everyone was fearing.

You just know they are going to force a trade with Washington where they get MarShon Brooks and then swear up and down how he was the Brooks they wanted all along.
Re: Suns trade Ariza to Wizards
the plan was to extend him to a reasonable contract if he plays well with the team.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:41 amWhy would you give up that pick for half a year of Lin in a lost season?SDC wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:38 amariza and the mil pick for lin.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:38 amI think the idea is not to take on money. Just sign him in the summer then, why give up the pick?SDC wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 10:20 amthe plan was to extend him to a reasonable contract if he plays well with the team.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:41 amWhy would you give up that pick for half a year of Lin in a lost season?SDC wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:38 amariza and the mil pick for lin.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 8:38 amI think the idea is not to take on money. I’m sure lots of teams are calling. Im hoping this is controlled chaos; like James Jones caused this stir to create a frenzy of offers to manipulate in the middle.

Anybody who posts “I hope that, behind the scenes, Sarver and Jones are doing something sensible” is going to be disappointed.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sat Dec 15, 2018 10:40 amI’m sure lots of teams are calling.
