RealGM: I heard about the restrictions from the Suns for you to play five international friendly games under 25 minutes in each. What is your opinion about some of NBA GMs intentions to prohibit their players to play for their national teams?

Dragic: I understand them. They pay me a lot of money and they are scared. Last year I had many troubles with my ankles. I twisted my left ankle six times. They are a little bit nervous but at the end, it is always nice to play for the national team. Every organization has a different opinion. Me and the Suns, we made an agreement and that was great.

RealGM: Is it difficult to negotiate with an NBA team on the terms of playing for the national team?

Dragic: It is difficult because on one side you have an organization that is paying you and on the other side, you have your people. I always like to play for my people, the national team and it is tough. But I think if you sit down and you talk with them, you can make an agreement. That’s why I’m really happy and grateful for the Phoenix Suns. They allowed me to play and I think I can gain more experience here. Also I can get in better shape for the next year.
We are so lucky to have this guy. Especially after we discarded him the first time.
For peanuts. That was stupid.

About Dragic - We can watch him today on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. ET.

The Team USA has one last exhibition today against the Dragic-led Slovenians at 2 p.m. ET (ESPN2)

Zoran has evolved since I last saw him. He looks much improved.

Yeah, he played well. Nice stroke. He looked like Goran with that bandage over his eye.

Also, the announcers couldn't say enough about what a great guy Goran is.

Suns sign undrafted free agent Casey Prather and veteran center Earl Barron:

I like Prather, but he seems redundant with PJ Tucker. I don't expect either player to make it past preseason.

They should have a competition between Earl Barron and Shavlik Randolph in training camp where they put a dollar on the rim and have to keep lowering the basket until one of them can snatch it.

The good news about Earl Barron is that he was awful when he played for the Suns 4 years ago as a 37 year old, so he's probably added enough to his game to fill the hole in our frontcourt.

Neither will be a factor with IRONMAN Alex Len in front of them on the depth chart.

Hey guys - didn't you hear? Apparently Alex Len disintegrated yesterday! He's just a pile of sentient dust now. Sad news !

Just read this on Paul Coro's blog
Len, despite his new form as a pile of dust will suit up and make his presence known at the end of the bench to support the team this year. However , he will not travel with them team when they visit the Cavaliers .
