A lot of new faces. Time to get to work, Monty! We have a lot to put in place and for the new guys to get integrated. I'm excited to have a real point guard for the first time in a while.

I didn't think about the timing, but I just booked my trip to Amsterdam for that week. The time difference will be a killer.

Yeah, you just end up sitting in traffic waiting for the red lights to change.

I went on a guided tour of the district my 2nd or 3rd time there. It was given by a former worker in the district. It is one of my favorite tours ever.

I was there 5 times last year, and the food is amazing. I wouldn't want to live in the city because it would so expensive with our kids to find a place, but I really like the city.

5 times a year? It wouldn't be, say, oh I don't know....the coffee shops?!

Definitely one of the coolest cities out there.

My first experience a few years back - arrived late at night, AirBnB in De Jordaan, having a beer with a couple buds and, not like I didn't know how it was, but as I'd never been before it was still a case of asking: "So you're telling me, I can just walk into that cafe and buy it? ... Really"?

Cool as sh*t even though I was, and am, a 364 out of 365 day a year non-partaker (occasional visits to Amsterdam excluded!).

My favourite bar is t'smalle if you're inclined - local beer and meat plates are great.

Caveat - there's enough about the city without the coffee shops so not suggesting anything in the post above! Just recounting my first, very memorable, experience.

ha! I had to go there for work a lot last year as I was hiring folks there and went out for interviews, offers, first day, 90 day review, etc. All that stuff.

Only went into a coffee shop once in all my times, and never smoked (in amsterdamn or anywhere). I did buy some edibles while there on vacation with my wife and it wasn't a great experience--i guess we are light weights in that area. Not really my thing. Now a great whiskey, that's my thing.

Edibles and drinking have brought about many an early night in Amsterdam - is not my thing either.

And never understood whiskey sadly, I'll take a cloudy beer any day instead...

Indica = Go to sleep

Sativa = Sleep? I am having too much fun.

The Heineken factory gives tours that Homer would appreciate.

Huh, so that's the difference ... that explains a lot.
