The Raps kept their starters in also to make a late, late run at us but we held on as well. I like the experience it gives us toughing out games, learning to hold onto leads (felt like we eased up on the Raps midway thru the 4th).

2.5 stocks
1.2 TOs

Just gotta go 4-14.
Good news. Even in the worst stretch of ball in November and December, we still managed to win 4 out of 18 games. They've never had a stretch of 3-15 or worse this season.

At this point, the playoffs are virtually impossible but I'd like for them to end up with 37 or 38 wins. It looks like they'll need 41 to make the playoffs most likely and we're not going to get them but I'd love to see them barely miss it rather than being stuck at 33 or 34 wins.

The funny thing is, we're currently 13th in the West, but we're just two games back from 9th. 9-13 (NOP, SAC, POR, SAS, PHX) are super clumped up. But #8 Memphis has pulled away and is up by 4 full games over the 9 seed. I think none of the current 9-13 teams will catch them at this point.virtual9mm wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 8:42 amAt this point, the playoffs are virtually impossible but I'd like for them to end up with 37 or 38 wins. Yup, for those teams, it's a now a race for Miss Congeniality ....

Yeah, pretty gross to hear all the cheering. Alot of "long time" Bucks fans in the valley? Doubtful. Longest tenured fan was probably 3 years.

Booker looked focused and energetic, which I haven't noticed alot of that from him lately.
Baynes played at a high level again. Quite a streaky season he's had. Will be curious to what kind of contract he's played himself into. I guess I'm still on the side of wanting him back but i think my opinion flip flops each day.
Bridges is turning into a great player and even somewhat of a leader. Can't remember a player on the Suns who has made the stride he has as the season went on. Good for him. Making it a stronger possibility than before that Kelly gets moved for a PF or some other piece in the offseason.
I'd also just like to say i would have enjoyed these last 2 wins much more had we NOT lost to the fucking Warriors and Pistons. That was the tipping point for me this season. My interest in this season has declined after those 2 duds.

Disagree. Half of Phoenix is people from the mid-west that relocated (or their parents did when they were young). Of course when your team is awful you don't shell out 300-400 for a couple of seats to go see them lose. But when they are playing well and have a good team you are more likely to spend the cash.
They save up because they only get one chance a year to see their team live. So every serious Bucks fan in the valley wants those tickets. So even if there are only 0.01% of the Phoenix Metro area that are big Bucks fans, that is ~5,000 fans. And if half of them show up and our loud, that is a big number out of the 14,000 seats during a sell out.
On the other hand, the Suns fans are deciding which of the 41 home games to spend money on. And considering they lost twice as often as they win at home, you might be finding something else to do on an early Sunday afternoon during Spring Training.

I just can't see them moving Kelly, even in a good deal. He is a lot of what made this team stick together this year (despite how much someone around here hates him). I also don't see us making any big moves that we are not forced into making. Jones seems to be about not rocking the boat and just trying to play it safe.djy2j wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 10:51 amBooker looked focused and energetic, which I haven't noticed alot of that from him lately.

It feels like an offseason where Jones will try to sign a new starting PF and backup PG and will try to just use cap space and picks to get it done.
Re: Game Day: Bucks (53-10) @ Suns (25-38), Sun 3/8/20
Yeah, I've already started imagining Jones's approach this offseason, and I think thats it. I think they also spring for a better backup sg/sf. I can't count how many games the bench lost for us this year.
Re: Game Day: Bucks (53-10) @ Suns (25-38), Sun 3/8/20
I agree that Jones probably wont blow up the roster, but he is going to have to make decisions on Baynes, Saric, Carter, Okobo, and Diallo. I think there will be some shuffling of the middling players on the roster to make room for rookies and a free agent.

Seems pretty clear from all the rumors that we had discussions with Orlando about Gordon and it didn’t work out because they asked for Oubre and we said no. I’m sure we will revisit these discussions around draft time. I like Gordon, but I wouldn’t move Oubre for him.

And I think that might be Allonzo Trier, although his PED suspension during his time at Arizona (while Ayton was there...hmmmm) does give me pause.

Also, Phoenix’s population pretty much doubles in the winter from Snow Birds who flock here from colder climates like Canada, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. I am pretty sure a lot of those people were snow birds.
