There is talk that we may not have fans for the entire '20-'21 season and that may be for the NFL too. If that's the case, will sporting events and concerts ever come back?
Why wouldn't they?
If it's always going to be a threat and not die down, why would they come back?
Dude. Things will eventually get back to normal. It's not a matter of if but when.

AZ with almost 2400 new cases yesterday! Shatters the old record set a couple of days ago that shattered the record set a couple days earlier that shattered the record set a couple of days earlier.

I feel like I've heard this before, and it's probably going to continue.

About damn time
Thank goodness. Sounds like Tucson will mandate masks. I hope the whole of Pima County does the same. I'm currently visiting Marana and I want this area to be safer!

The article doesn’t give any indication how it will be enforced, only that enforcement does not include police and citations.

Good luck. We just got to Chandler Tuesday night. Because our moving truck is delayed and hasn't left Michigan, we had to go to a few stores to get some things for the family as we wait. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many people were wearing masks. There was this one lady at Costco that had one one, but kept the entire thing pulled down below her chin. I stayed away from that selfish idiot.

thanks. the good news is that so many AZ mayors are now going against Ducey and mandating masks. Let's see if that helps.

I don’t know if Ducey is against masks or not. I think he just doesn’t want to be “The Guy” who makes it mandatory, being a Republican Governor in a sort of red state.

He is a Trump republican, and wasn't willing to follow CDC guidelines. Whether it is because he doesn't believe science and facts and virologists, or because he didn't want to upset Trump/supporters, it doesn't matter. Such a shitty leader.

I don't get people that aspire to be a chief executive (of a business or government) and are unwilling to make unpopular decisions. You know as any CEO, you will be making decisions that lots of people don't like and hate you for. But you make those decisions because it is the right thing to do.

I agree with you, Indy. It's not even clear to me that masks are unpopular. Even here in AZ with no mandate, in many places >= 50% of people have them on.

Hopefully the cops don't take their cue from the Atlanta police.

I’d be skeptical of that, we don’t know if you can get reinfected, but it’s also very possible she just simply had a failed test. That antibody test could have been a false positive. Or perhaps the first Covid swab was a false negative.

We’ve had people at my hospital test positive, test negative, then test positive again all in the same hospital stay.
