Harden to Brooklyn
Re: Harden to Brooklyn
I'm still digesting it. So many moving parts with BK and Harden being out of shape and Kyrie not being with the team plus giving up Levert and Allen. I do like Levert in Indy, he should fit well there. Houston had no choice but to do a deal and Wall, Dipo, Wood and Boogie is at least intriguing. All eyes are going to be on BK tho.

Some of us called you crazy before you said that too.

It's only me that thinks Steve Nash is crying in a fetal position thinking how he'll deal with all the drama?

Two-time is coaching two MVPs. I hope he can pull a Kerr but I have my doubts.

Boy. On paper that Nets roster is loaded, but in real life 2/3 of those stars are completely out to lunch, and the third is a petulant child, and all 3 demand the ball too much. I think this is going to implode and fail in grand fashion. They'll be a playoff team, but they won't win the title, and they'll spend the offseason pointing fingers at each other. I bet somebody is out in a year. My guess would be Kyrie.

Out to lunch is a very good definition of Harden right now. Out to lunch, to dinner, and don't forget about snacks along the day...Mori Chu wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 10:29 pmBoy. Oladipo and Allen + all those picks and swaps is a crazy god deal for Harden. Crazy.
The Rockets can turn around and fight for a playoff spot now, if Wall stays healthy.

Re: Harden to Brooklyn
Well Allen went to Cleveland...so it’s Oladipo, 4 1sts, and 4 swaps.
I guess it all depends on what happens in Brooklyn...I’m not sure exactly when the picks/swaps are, but the ones coming soon won’t be great. The later ones could be decent, but Houston needs picks, they had traded essentially all of them away I believe.
Re: Harden to Brooklyn
They probably should have grabbed Simmons and Thybulle.

Re: Harden to Brooklyn
The Rockets owner wants to cut salary. Nothing's cheaper on the books than future draft picks.

I had mi-read that. Allen would have been a significant piece for them.Split T wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 12:38 pmWell Allen went to Cleveland...so it’s Oladipo, 4 1sts, and 4 swaps.

Re: Harden to Brooklyn
4 picks plus 4 swaps is just insane. You are trading away almost a decade of your team's future for a fat unhappy star. If they don't win a title in the next 2 years they'll really come to regret this deal.
I wonder if deals like this one will lead the next CBA to include a rule similar to the Stepien rule, this time forbidding including more than N draft picks in the same trade, or no more than N years in a row of (traded away pick + traded away pick-swap). It's just ridiculous that some future GM might have to come in and not have his own draft pick for 8 years.
