Game Day: Suns (40-16) @ Bucks (35-21), Mon 4/19/21

Post by Superbone »

Time: 5:00 pm AZ (5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET)
Place: Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, WI
TV: BSAZ/NBALP

The Suns begin a very tough five-game road trip Monday night in Milwaukee. The Suns are coming off their worst loss of the season. It's been a long while since the Suns have lost two in a row but this will not be an easy task to avoid.

Go Suns!!!

The Bucks were without Jrue Holliday last time and the Suns barely pulled that one out as they had no answer for Giannis most of the game. DiVincenzo missed the last game with an illness, so they'll probably start Forbes if Donte is out again. Forbes tends to roast the Suns from deep for some strange reason.

Forbes roasts a lot of people from deep, he’s shooting 44% this year.

So given the Suns' patterns this season, after losing to a sub-.500 team, we will now blow out one of the league's best. That's how this works, right?

I hope so but I don't have a lot of confidence in that tonight. I'm hoping WW has good vibes.

We have a better road record than their home record, so we should win, right? :P

If we finish the rest of the season going 8-8, that isn't bad, right? Based on our schedule, number of road games, etc?

I'd take it. We wouldn't quite hit my 50 win prediction but we'd be close. Let's track it from here.

Now I have to look it up, thanks.

He's had five or more 3PM in a game four times this season this season. One of those games was against the Suns.

He also had his career best game against the Suns last season while playing for the Spurs, going 8-11 from deep.

Interesting. Crowder OK? Or is this a Giannis strategy?

Missed some of the pregame, looks like Monty wants to match the Bucks' size and also maybe get Dario going. Offense looks a little out of whack as expected and Book is trying to do too much. He seems frustrated by the Bucks early on.

Yea Dario to mark BroLo , basically what we did with Frank last time to get DA matched up
DA has been solid against Giannis, just wanna keep him in the 20s😳

Yea I really appreciate Jrue's game. People might think he's overpaid but I don't. Book gonna have to play smart as Middleton is very solid on D also so big test for him

I’m holding a candlelight vigil for Dario at halftime here in my living room. He’s just out there running.

Solid half all things considered
Most games from here on out gonna probably be a grind so just gotta keep at it and stay solid

Thought we defended Giannis ok but man still with 20+ easily. The fact he's hitting his free throws is a bummer too

Choppy game, still not a great rhythm and the Bucks are making us work for everything. Luckily they're not shooting well from 3, but just took a 3pt lead. Feels like one of those Spurs-type of a games where they've kept within striking distance and then slowly take the lead.

Crowder started the 2nd half for Dario so that experiment is over.

We can't even come close to stopping Giannis.
