Thanks for the thread, Shel. It's pretty amazing to see ESPN publishing articles like that about us.
Also, if you're reading this, we miss you carey. Hope you're doing okay.

This may be cheesy, and gloss over some things, but it gave me the feels.

That last guy was pretty bad, went a little to heavy with the spoken word.

When you have to include Moore and Dario and Stix in your "look how great we are" rhymes, you are kind of screwed.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 2:09 pmThat last guy was pretty bad, went a little to heavy with the spoken word.

Cheesy or not, it brought back a ton of memories and got me all fired up for another playoff run. It's such a weird feeling actually caring about the outcome of games again, but it's also going to make me lose a ton of sleep since the playoff games won't be ending until like 1am EST.
I vividly remember being in grad school during the 2006 playoffs and being up until 2am when Raja hit that three against the Clippers and leaping out of bed and then pacing around my apartment. I miss being that invested, but cannot wait to see how this team does.

My daughter was born two days before the end of the 04-05 regular season. I spent the first month at home with her since it was a c-section and risky birth. I hardly slept that month. But I can still *feel* those playoff series, and was lucky enough to make it to a few games (JJ's broken face being one of them).BigLewy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 9:00 pmCheesy or not, it brought back a ton of memories and got me all fired up for another playoff run. My son was born between games 1 and 2 of the Spurs series in 07. I only got to stay home for 2 weeks, but I spent that time potty training my daughter between feedings/naps for my son. That time is also a weird mix of a complete blur in parts, but absolute clarity in others.
That video brought so much of that back to the front of my mind. I know that part of the nostalgia has to do with where I was and what else was going on in my life, but it go me fired up, too.
Here's to another run, hopefully more fruitful than any other over the last +50 years.

That is pretty cool. I had no idea that Monty used to be a neighbor of Oscar Schmidt. Oscar was one of the best players ever that didn't play in the NBA. Practically unstoppable it seemed at times.

Here in Brazil we call him "Holy Hand" for obvious reasons, and he always says it's "Trained hand".

A fool. Kerr is a bigger fool for hiring him
Re: Suns News: Week 18 4/19-4/25
I feel like Kerr gets glossed over because we went further downhill after him, but he was not a good GM
Re: Suns News: Week 18 4/19-4/25
I don't think we have had a good GM is a long time. Like maybe since Jerry. Bryan? Meh. Mike for the what, half a season when Sarver didn't want to pay anyone else? Bleh. Blabby? Fuck no. McD picked Booker, so yay. He also made the trade for Mikal, which I think is now a net positive. Jones has the chance to be the only good GM we have had in nearly 30 years.

So as we know Abdel Nader was out yet again with a "Sore Knee". I wonder what the real deal is here with him and our organization. The Torrey Craig signing was when I started to think maybe something is up. Any insider stuff, personal issues or is it just Occam's Razor?
Re: Suns News: Week 18 4/19-4/25
it is really strange. I don't think they have ever said anything more than 'sore knee' and it has been over a month since he played.BAMF wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 10:17 amSo as we know Abdel Nader was out yet again with a "Sore Knee".
