The other possibility is that he continues to be a brilliant talent but blows up chemistry wherever he goes. Tho the Cleveland episode might not have entirely been his fault. He certainly overreacted but they also didn’t seem to give him much help.

Other than Johntay Porter, all the other Porters in the league are juniors. Otto, Michael, and Kevin.
At least that way we know they're not brothers.

Elsewhere tonight in the league:
Celtics came back tonight from down 30 in the 2nd half to beat the Spurs in OT. And the Lakers lost to the Kings in LeBron’s return to the court.

Dallas has a pretty easy schedule...if we hold at 1, there’s a chance we get winner of Denver/Dallas

Man, can you imagine if the Lakers fall to the 6 seed? That could mean that we would have the following playoff seedings in the West:

1 Suns
2 Jazz
3 Clippers
4 Nuggets
5 Mavericks
6 Lakers
7 Blazers
8 Grizzlies

So in the 1st round we'd face the Grizz, assuming they didn't get unseated in the play-in tournament. (I think the 7-8 seeds would hold their current spots.) I think the Suns would take care of business in that series for sure, in 4-5 games. Or it'd be the Blazers, who have one of the worst defenses in the NBA; I think we'd thump them, too.

Then in the 2nd round we'd face the winner of Nuggets-Mavericks (!), which would be an absolute dream 2nd round matchup. The Nuggets without Murray do *not* scare me. And the Mavs, pfft, please bring it on. They are not a contender, and we could easily dispatch them in a series.

That would mean we could get all the way to the WCF without facing either LA team or the Jazz. So in the WCF we'd face either the Jazz, Clips, or Lakers (assuming the 7 seed didn't make it all the way to the WCF, which I think is a safe bet). So we would only have to face one of the top 3 toughest opponents in the conference, and that opponent would have just gone through a total bloodbath to get there.

That would be the dream bracket. Please please please, hoop gods, make this happen for us. We don't ask you for much!

So, in the bubble he opted for been cautious, but now he tried to play through the injury? It looks like the Basketball gods balanced it out and took their pound of flesh.

The Lakers are in danger of falling into the Play-In. They may not even make the playoffs!

They won't lose 2 in a row to start the playoffs/play in. Lebron didn't play for a month, so it will take a few games before he is back (enough).

Continued to be injury prone. Hasn’t finished a season in 3 years now

Sad to see Kelly injured. I really liked him while he was here, and I think people can definitely disagree on the impact he had on the court, but I don't think anyone can deny that he and Rubio played key roles in fostering a culture change around here that set the stage for this year.

Yeah, that's a bummer about Oubre. I have mixed feelings seeing "Valley" all over the court and jerseys after he kind of popularized the phrasing of "Valley Boyz" and then we let him go. I don't think we did anything wrong, but I at least want him to be doing well on his new team. He's had a really rough season. Rubio, too. I feel bad that we sent away two of our core guys from last year and now they're both having a miserable time.

We are still missing his athleticism. We don't have anyone in our front court that can make an offensive play with their athleticism.
