Curry over Paul is ridiculous for MVP.
No way. Curry has been significantly better than Paul this year.
It’s not an award for the better player. It’s for the most valuable to their team.
The nba is purposefully vague about what MVP means. It drives up conversation. If you want to argue value to a team, you can put guys like Paul and Gobert high. If you are just looking for the best player, Curry is better.

I personally lean towards best player. My MVP ballot would have been:
1. Jokic
2. Embiid
3. Curry
4. Giannis
5. CP3

It's usually someone who's done something remarkable on a team that's done something remarkable, with either being less important when the other is especially remarkable e.g. Russell Westbrook's triple double season or Steve Nash's 7SOL suns.

Curry's had a relatively non-remarkable statistical season on a mediocre team, so deserves less love from me.

Paul has had a remarkable impact on his team, however his stats don't clearly warrant MVP winner status - Jokic, Embiid and Giannis probably add a similar number of wins as Paul does but their stats are better - but if Paul was on the Warriors instead of Curry they'd probably be better, same with the Suns .. so yeah it's comfortably Paul > Curry for me.

1. Jokic
2. Embiid
3. Giannis
4. CP3
5. Curry

I don’t know about the bolded part. 32 points on a .655 TS% seems pretty remarkable to me. I’d feel pretty confident that no one besides Curry has done that before.

It would but we can only compare the Warriors record to the Suns', and the proof is in the Suns' pudding.

Honestly I don't worry too much about who gets votes for 4th and 5th place for MVP. They don't have a fourth-most-valuable player award. Paul has had a great season and so has Curry.

I agree if by "pudding" you mean the rest of the Suns roster compared to the Warriors'.

Fair enough, I just saw an opportunity to have a pop at FF so I took it (sorry FF :) )

Embiid at .634%, Harden's been to .626%, Giannis at .633% .. so agree .655% is remarkable but the raw PPG is not (not even top 5 the last 20 seasons..)

I mean Harden won an MVP, Giannis won 2, Embiid might have won if he didn’t get hurt this year. And yet those guys are still below Curry...I’d consider all those guys remarkable.

Curry’s team didn’t even make the playoffs. Bleh.

I honestly will like him to not have another setback and be doing his thing again next season
I've seen many players watching from the sidelines but man dude was just pacing up n down constantly, banging his hands on the bench padding. It's quite evident how bad he's ready to be back out there

I think this a legit question
Watching some of the games this week I was like cool to have back fans but it seemed like early on they were more spread out. Arenas obviously still not close to full but just seemed like in the Grizz home game and then last night in GSW the fans were in alot more clusters

I know ppl complain that teams been overdoing the jerseys and I don't really bother myself because I think Nike has put out some cool ones
Tuning into this first game and seeing the Heat in this Yellow kit is not cutting it tho lol. Who's idea was that

Ha! I was actually hoping it was true so we could maybe get Paul on a discount. The replies in that thread are hilarious too.
