Referee Stats for Suns/Lakers Game 5 (2020-2021 season) (# wins/# games):

James Capers(#19):
Suns: 3/5(60%)
Lakers: 1/3(33%)

Ken Mauer(#41):
Suns: 1/3(33%)
Lakers: 0/1(0%)

Curtis Blair(#74):
Suns: 5/5(100%)
Lakers: 3/5(60%)

Karl Lane(#77):
Suns: 4/6(100%)
Lakers: 2/3(67%)
There's a typo for Lane. Is it 6/6 or 67%?

Here's to hoping Curtis Blair asserts himself.

And where are you getting the data? I can only find limited info, and the rest is behind a $30/month pay wall.

I have a bad feeling about this game. I worry that the Suns will play poorly because everyone has been talking for two days about how they should win this series if AD is out.

Losing this game because some random player who's done nothing scores 20+ would be a shitty way to end the season, which it would essentially be if the Suns don't come through.

The Lakers are still the defending champions and they're not going to roll over in this game just because AD doesn't play. I really hope the Suns still have the underdog's mentality today.

I'd also expect the refs to keep this one close to make up for no AD.

I am playing a gig at a sports bar with a gazillion TV’s and will try to avoid seeing a score all night. I managed to pull it off last Tuesday but, boy is it tough.

These subscriptions annoy me, like how about you just charge me a price for accessing your site once for this particular information I need as I have no idea if or when I’ll ever use your site again .. anyway, go suns; I see Davis is on court shooting around so let’s knock them out in 6.

I'd actually rather have AD play at well below 100% than him not playing at all.

Would you be willing to trade a Suns win for Morris to break his nose after getting punched in the face?

I would choose the win. But I would think about it.

I think the most interesting storyline is figuring out what extent LeBron James can put a team on his back right now. he’s had several amazing game 5s in his career, and this is the perfect situation for him to take over. I expect to see Peak LeBron (at least whatever his current version is of Peak LeBron) tonight.

Do we double him and let the other guys try to beat us or do we let him do his thing under single coverage and hope it's not enough?

He sure looked tentative in the pregame warm ups. I was kind of hoping they'd play him gimpy. He's no Chris Paul.

They can play him gimpy for game 6 when we’re up 3-2 ;)
