Game Day Playoff Edition — Round 2, Game 2 — Denver Nuggets @ Phoenix Suns, Wednesday 6/9/2021
Time: 7:30 pm AZ (6:30 pm PT/9:30 pm ET)
Place: Phoenix Suns Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: TNT
"Alexa, play 'Hurt' by Johnny Cash."
This song, this iconic cover of a song, was my go-to jam to get me ramped up for most Phoenix Suns games during the 2010s.
Not anymore.
Because, since then, things have gotten...
But seriously, I saw something in game 1 - the combined powers of Devin Booker, Chris Paul, DeAndre Ayton, and Mikal Bridges. I saw a crowd 11 years-starved for playoff basketball, as I saw 11-year olds in the crowd likely becoming Suns fans for life. And I saw a so-called one-horse town show exactly why the Suns will always be its peoples' passion.
At this point, I truly believe that the only team capable of stopping the Suns...are the Suns.
So let's take this round ball and rock out. Three more times.
GO SUNS!!!

That hurt song hurts me to watch and listen. It guess getting sad and depressed for a Suns game during the 2010’s would be fitting.

I was just thinking of the differences in playing styles from Suns playoff teams of the past. Remember 7 seconds or less? Now Paul lets the ball roll up the floor for as long as possible, so he maximizes their 24 seconds because they are going to use most if not all of it. The 7 seconds or less team wanted to get shots off before the defense was set so they always ran. Now teams like Denver are trying to push the ball on the Suns before the Suns defense can get set because the Suns defense is so good. Nobody accused the 7 seconds or less team of playing great defense.
Basically this team is the opposite of the 7 seconds or less team, except this team isn’t boring slow, it’s just methodical....most of the time.

Oh well this is an interesting stat
Don't know how much it actually affected Joker but sounds like there's a chance it could become a thing

Not sure if it actually sold out, or the Suns donated the remaining tickets... but there are zero tickets available except for re-sales.

Going to be lit again! I'm sure the fans have seen the articles about them and the player reactions. Might even take it to the next level if there is such a thing.

I remembering Barton having a slow start to the season (fantasy league lol) but just peeping his Game Log looks like he was more himself post All Star break. Either way coming into the Playoffs in full swing I figure he might take a minute to find his groove especially as our D is no joke
Personally I think Nuggets going to be looking for solutions on the defensive end and I'm not sure if Barton helps them much on that end but we'll see how much of a factor he is
