I can be objective enough lol if it is a move to improve the teamSuperbone wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 9:40 amSure you can give it but yeah, we already know how you feel about your "boys".bajanguy008 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 5:19 amWell I obviously can't give my opinion on that trade idea
Would be a bummer but in this instance don't think this makes us better
Bagley double double stats or general box scores can look solid and no doubt the kid is a talent but his awareness doesn't strike me to be too good. Lots of lapses on D and his athleticism not really used on that end. Could just be maturity but yea that's just my opinion

I have a feeling we’re getting Cody Zeller, can someone convince me that’s a good move?

He's just a solid big, double double per 36, knows how to play in limited minutes but can start if needed.

He’s a guy I’ve obviously been aware of, but not sure I’ve paid any attention to his career. Does he shoot at all? Can he defend? I’m worried we’re gonna sign him to replace the Saric Minutes and he proves to be unplayable in the playoffs in certain series. If he’s our 3rd big and we sign another more small ball style 5 as well, then I’d feel better. But I’m a little worried if he’s our big signing.

Re: The 2021 Suns Offseason
I think he'd help against more size and traditional bigs. He's bigger than Dario, a bit more athletic and vertical finishing inside. Not a great outside shooter but better finisher. We'd still need a more athletic 4/5 to handle some faceup bigs for sure.
Re: The 2021 Suns Offseason
Seems like a guy you could use against the Lakers but probably not against the Clippers

While we're there, here are their other videos in the series:
Re: The 2021 Suns Offseason
Ha, part of the reason I have a feeling we’re gonna sign him is that was their one video I didn’t feel excited to watch, so I skipped it, haha. Just watched it now though. Seems ok, he’ll rebound and he’s a decent short roll man. Can attack the basket or even pass a little in the short roll. Defense was my bigger worry, but it seems like he is more capable of switching than I gave him credit for. Still don’t love giving him the full MLE or him being our biggest addition though. I want a small ball 5 option like Jeff Green or Nicolas Batum.

Re: The 2021 Suns Offseason
I wouldn't have a problem with Zeller as the backup center and Kaminsky as the 3rd center IF they manager to find an athletic big forward who can defend and rebound.
Of course if they do that and re-sign Payne and perhaps Craig the frontcourt gets really crowded.
But that's a lot better problem than having a roster littered with players like Bender, Jackson and Chriss!

Ya I’m fine if we go get Zeller for like the BAE and then pick up a more playoff capable 4/5 with the MLE. Just gonna be dissapointed if our big addition to running it back is adding Cody zeller. That’s not going to really move the needle at all.The Bobster wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 12:25 pmI wouldn't have a problem with Zeller as the backup center and Kaminsky as the 3rd center IF they manager to find an athletic big forward who can defend and rebound.

NY Post is saying the Knicks could make a run at Payne. They supposedly have these "big plans" with this year's capspace or will wait until next offseason. I don't know that they'd use major capspace for Payne, unless their plan is to get him on a reasonable 12-15mil deal over 3-4 years to use in a future trade for a star like Lillard or Beal. Or they could give him a bigger 1 year deal just to use hit the cap floor like they did a few seasons ago.

Not sure if Jake Fischer is legit. Suns usually tight-lipped.

Noel fits so well, that we are not going to even make him a call, right?
