McGee seems to be fitting in rather seamlessly. I would not have thought he'd be such a great addition but he's going to be integral to our success.

Portland looked really bad. I don't know how much longer Dame has left if they go downhill this year. It could get ugly. I did think Dennis Smith Jr looked pretty good tho from a physical standpoint. He seemed to have his bounce back.
Our bench is going to be unfair for teams this year. We should be able to just overwhelm teams on both ends of the ball for 48 minutes.

Hopefully through next season and then we can trade CP3 and his partially guaranteed contract for him.

Portland is 0-3 in preseason.
I know they have a new coach (Billups) but the last time I saw a team look that bad in "warm-up" games was the Watson-era Suns shortly before he got canned.

This Billups hire reminds me too much of our Terry Porter hire.

More like Earl Watson to me. But both were horrendous.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 5:54 pmThis Billups hire reminds me too much of our Terry Porter hire.

Yeah I think the Blazers will be low-key bad this year. Dame could be on his way out.Flagrant Fowl wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 4:34 pmI'm not going to overreact to pre-season, but there's a decent chance that Portland just isn't very good this year. Betting under 44.5 wins for them seems like stealing money to me.

Better them than us. I’ll have to watch highlights on youtube or something for this game.

Just watched the highlights. The Suns plugged all the holes from last season with quality guys. Even the third stringers look good. DEEP.

1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team, it didn’t matter. Every combination outplayed whoever the Blazers put on the court.da_suns_fan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 4:20 pm43 point freaking blowout?!!!
I dont CARE if its preseason, they look amazing. Especially after watching Lakers on TNT last night.
Even Payton and Stix starting to develop a little chemistry.
Also cool to see the Suns cheering on the Mercury today as they tied up the series.

I'm willing to admit I was totally wrong about McGee.

Payton looks pretty good, too. I liked the way he attacked the basket and then looked to pass to open teammates. That last step is what's missing for Payne; Payne drives hard to the basket but then you can tell that he's going to lay it up himself almost every time. Payton has his head up and is always looking around to see who's open. I know Payton really wore out his welcome on the Knicks, but that's a situation where he was being asked to do too much, asked to be a starting NBA PG for a playoff team in a tough city with demanding fans. He isn't really up for that, but being the 2nd/3rd string PG for us is a great fit for him.
