School / education stuff
Re: School / education stuff
This is just a continuation of the battle between the left and the right.
Dems want to teach about gays, black history and indian history without the sugar coating.
Cons want to cover it up and ban talking about gays, blacks or indians in any classroom their kids are in.

In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.
Re: School / education stuff
Dude, it was a joke! Wow. 'Don't Say Gay' bill. Get it? DO YOU?!
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Re: School / education stuff
I'm sorry. You're right. I didn't recognize the joke you were making.

In2: Do you support the Florida education bill? If so, what do you like about it?
Re: School / education stuff
Fyi: It has passed.

I really like The Bulwark. They have a great podcast, too. Conservatives who don't support Trump or the mess that the GOP has become.
Re: School / education stuff
From the author of the bill himself:
Re: School / education stuff
So what age & grade should you allow strangers to teach your kids about sexuality and all it's variations and combinations? What age & grade should you decide to have this taught to your neighbor's children?

In2: Do you think it is wrong (bad, sinful, etc.) to be gay? To be transgender?
Re: School / education stuff
Sinful? I would be lying if I said it wasn't. I have nothing against someone being gay or transgender. I have many friends & family in either groups, and have worked with many my whole life, and I've never ever had a problem with them, nor do I ever try to make them feel bad or shame them for it. Do you?

Re: School / education stuff
You just called it sinful, then tried to say you have no problem with it...
Re: School / education stuff
Yes, they aren't mutually exclusive. Everyone sins, and everyone is sinful. I try not to go around pointing out everyone else's sin. My job isn't to go around and point out yours either. That's between you and yourself. Do you understand the nuance?

Re: School / education stuff
They are mutually exclusive. You can't say I choose to call what someone is a sin, but then say you don't have a problem with it. You are actively choosing to call it sinful.
Re: School / education stuff
Ah, you misunderstand. Everyone sins, got it. I sin too. I have to deal with my own sin daily, and don't have the time to deal with yours. I do not have a problem with people. Otherwise, I would pretty much hate everyone. Instead, I'm instructed to love everyone(not easy on this board,

Re: School / education stuff
You are literally judging people by calling them sinners.
Re: School / education stuff
Lol, no. This is a hard concept for you it seems. Sorry you're having a problem with it.
Do you think I go around each day and look at literally everyone thinking, "I wonder what their sin is?"
I would do a terrible job as God. Judging each person on the spot and condemning them. Some of those drivers out there though...let me tell you.

Re: School / education stuff
I guess you don't get how labeling someone as a sinner is judging them. Seems weird for someone that is Christian to not get that. Matthew and all.
Re: School / education stuff
So you believe that I should judge everyone and treat them as such? This is what you do as arbitrator of your own moral code?

Re: School / education stuff
that is the opposite of what I said.
