Well it depends, we have to get to about 35 million. If Ayton signs a max, him and Cam J would be enough outgoing salary to make it doable. 3rd team would probably need cap space though or we’d need to send more out. If Ayton signs for less than the max, we could do it with Payne or Craig…assuming he’s signing for at least 25 million.
Ayton’s BYC, so it doesn’t much matter how much he signs for. He only counts as last year’s salary ($12.6M) or 50% of his new salary, whichever is greater.
Anyway, it doesn’t seem the Nets want him at all, at least not at any salary he’d accept.

Right, I got confused and did it backwards…he counts for the full salary coming in, but only half going out. So assuming he sings for the max, we’d need to add about 15 million in salary going out. So basically Payne and either Shamet, Saric, or Crowder.
We better get Durant! All this action is happening and we haven't been a part of any of it. All we've done so far is lose existing players like McGee and Holiday.

Boston now has the most talent in the league. Gallo and Brogdan! Wtf?!
They just got way more shooting and better playmaking.
So that would leave us with CP, Book, Mikal, KD and CamJ and Bogdanovic as a core. A lot of work to do filling out the rest of the roster. Maybe Biz is re-signed and Divincenzo becomes a reality.
Gambo says the Suns are willing to trade all 4 first round picks unprotected and all 3 pick swaps.
That's 7 years of basically nothing much through the draft unless we hit on a 2nd rounder. I don't know. KD is amazing. That injury scares me. That thing ruptures again and he's done and so are the Suns for a decade.

Not if we could keep Ayton, Bridges, and Johnson.

People realize the Suns still keep a first round draft pick in these "swaps", right?

The thing with trading all these picks is it becomes very, very hard to improve mid-season and in future offseasons. So we'd better nail this offseason.
