I missed the TLC signing. He’s kinda interesting. Nothing special though.

I thought CPayne's contract was only guaranteed for $2M this season but that's next season so he's going to be here unless traded. Kinda bummed about that. His play in the 2nd half of last season was awful.

He was awful all year, I thought he was worse in the 1st half. Hopefully he’s figured out something to be productive this year. We don’t really have any other good options at the 1
Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
He was injured a lot last year, right? I'm hoping that was the reason he took a step (or two) back.

Today is the 50th anniversary of Al McCoy calling his first Phoenix Suns game.

Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
I don't know if I've ever agreed with Skip and Shannon so much on anything. They basically nailed it.
I still think that Monty did not want DA back but that James Jones really likes DA and wanted him back. So that makes for an awkward situation. I guess James will eventually have to choose between Monty and Deandre.

Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
I think Monty likes a big that does something when he gets the ball. The Dario/Frank type. If DA starts being a 3pt threat and attacking off the dribble more, I think Monty will be very pleased.

I don't think there is anything unsalvageable. Everybody just needs to communicate with each other.

Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
What have you seen that makes you think Jones loves DA?
And Jones already chose when he was actively shopping DA to numerous places before he was forced to match.
Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
You have no proof of that.
To answer your question, just from everything Jones has said since the season ended until now vs. what Monty has said.
Remember this from June?

Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
There is way more smoke about nearly having a deal in place to ship him for Sabonis, then another for KD, than there is for James Jones loving him.
Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
Does Jones not love Mikal because he considered trading him for KD?

Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
All the reports said that Mikal was the player Jones wouldn't add to that deal.
Re: Suns 2022 Off-Season Thread
When I said "considered," that was an understatement, he pretty much offered him to the Nets:

Shams is the mouthpiece for BK. That is the story Sean Marks wanted you to read.
