Admittedly I don't watch the Nets much but I haven't been very impressed with what I've seen of Claxton. How is he supposed to be a DPOY candidate if he can't stop Embiid or even Ayton from getting 35? Sometimes blocks are just empty stats. Mikal did a better job on Embiid late in the game lol.

He’s not really a 1on1 defender down low…he’s too skinny. But Brooklyn had a pretty elite defense with him and Durant both down there blocking shots.

I haven't seen a ton of Nets either, but whenever I do watch, Claxton is a very solid big. Very smart defender and rebounder, athletic, strong, long. He doesn't blow you away with his stats, but he and Durant were a deceptively good defensive big man duo.

I wonder if we will still try to sign Will Barton. He played minutes at point for Denver the last few years, and the way the team is constructed we might not need a traditional backup point

Now that we've informally agreed to sign Ross, we don't have a spot for these guys unless we shank Ish Wainwright or cut somebody like Shamet. Shamet is expiring, right? I would not be opposed to cutting / buying out his worthless ass if Ishbia is okay with paying the bill.
