Green, Kleber, and THJ are all nice rotation players. I feel we will struggle to find rotation players with our salary restraints. We’ll see what Ayton gives us this postseason, but right now we’re paying him too much for what we’re getting. He needs to be a bigger part of the offense to warrant his pay and that just doesn’t seem likely with Booker and KD here.
There’s also the 10th pick which would be nice. Not sure we’re gonna get much for Ayton if we trade him.

The only hesitation I have with dealing with Dallas is that they need Ayton, but they don't really have anything we need; they have useful pieces for us, but nothing that I would classify as a need-filler.
But I agree with Split: a lotto pick and solid depth pieces is not a bad package for Ayton at all. A Dallas deal wouldn't be my first choice, but it could work for me. The lotto pick and Josh Green would be non-negotiable items for me, but after that, the Suns might have to take on Bertans and/or McGee.

Ya, I don’t love the Dallas deal either…but it is the formula I’m intrigued by. 2-3 wings/shooters and a pick or decent prospect would do. I’d also listen to a lesser center plus wing player type deal. Mostly we just need to get multiple pieces for him if we move him.
I forgot they have the 10th pick too…I’ll take that
I'm glad you're not the GM.
And you're forgetting about Ayton's no-trade clause...why would he want to go to another team to play behind Kyrie and Luka?
His no trade clause is only for 1 year. He won’t have it this summer.
1 year = July 14. The draft is June 22.
Ah…I wasn’t suggesting trading him on draft night. Just including whoever they pick.
Ah, got it. Well it’s (hopefully) all going to be a moot point after the playoffs anyway—I can’t see either Jones or Ishbia trading a key piece of a championship team, or even a Finals team.

I hope we win and I hope he’s a key piece to that win
