The Isiah stuff makes me nauseous.
Besides being a piece of shit, Isiah as shadow gm is something I’ve been worried about since last year and looks like those concerns aren’t going away anytime soon.

Yea all that winning he did with the Knicks. All that winning with the $12mil harassments lawsuit. So much winning.
Re-read my post guys. It says "Ishbia." Not "Isiah."

One word to describe Ishbia: ruthless. He only cares about one thing: winning. Sort of reminds me of Trump lol. If we really want a championship, it may be what we need, though.

I get the feeling that Chris Paul just really wanted to stay. Probably thought he’d finish his career up until the last few weeks.
I get that too however Chris is smart enough to know he ain't worth 30 mil currently so maybe he should have been a little more willing to work out a deal to stay if he wanted it that bad. Basketball is a business first. His contract was currently bad business. Wish he could still be a Sun but I didn't ever read anything about his willingness to give up any money so I guess he and his 30 mil can go be a Wizard for the time being.

Spot on. I'm sad he has gone as I loved what he did for the franchise but it seems (we don't know) that his ego wouldn't let him accept a smaller deal. As you say if he wanted to be here he had to have the self awareness to realise his level of performance no longer matches his contract.

CP3 is just bitter, you know how he is. Isiah is not a shadow gm. Book and KD recruit and they have the backing owner. Don’t go jumping off bridges.

Did I see a rumor that Kuzma was interested in coming our way?

There’s been lots of them, but no real way for it to happen now.

The Suns were interested but the only way was to include him in the Beal trade, like Goodwin, and since that didn't happen we have no shot at him anymore

On IG Kuz commented on a KD and Book story something about not everyone can fit in the suv. Lol.

Crazy idea...put this elsewhere not expect this...seems appropriate here...

a. Wiz negotiate a buyout w/Chris, he retires.
b. Suns hire Chris as a bench coach for this season, works on his health for the season.
c. Coming season, Chris unretires and joins as the second unit PG.

Just an idea...
VT
i like it. I'd love to have Paul still involved. He was one of the few, truly selfless players in league history who really knew the game and played it the right way. My fondest memories of the Suns will be when they were under the strong, wise floor leadership of Nash, Paul, and Kidd at the point.

Guess the thinking is that it'd be easier to trade DA for pieces later if needed? Or it's posturing to make DA feel more wanted by the Suns? Or proves his value to other teams?

I think it's the former.

I think we got deals on the back burner for Ayton and didn’t want to thwart those plans

They literally got Beal for next to nothing. Why the hell would the Suns throw in their starting Center?

We're charged up because we traded for a $50mil go-to type of All-Star who chose us, but there's still a lot of work to be done. And if it doesn't work, we might feel some pain later on.
Especially since Beal will have us in the exact position he put Washington in.
Who cares? We were literally trying to waive Paul and Shamet anyway.
Not really the point, Jeremy.

Who cares if things go south and Bradley Beal forces the Suns to make a trade like the one Washington just did? I care.
The guy hasn't even played a minute in a Suns uni and we are already predicting that he is going to hold us to ransom in some messy breakup in 2 years time.
I didn't make a prediction.
Free Agency
DeMar Derozan for the minimum!

PG: Jordan McLaughlin, Killian Hayes, Kris Dunn, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris
C: Mo Bamba, Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, Goga Bitadze, Jay Huff

True, but reports are he’s opting out. I wasn’t sure if Kuzma was a great fit before, but if he was iffy, he’s even more iffy now. We don’t need more scorers. So I’m not too interested in him anymore.

Didn’t listen but reading on twitter, it seems Gambo was saying Chris Paul wasn’t interested in getting waived and coming back on the minimum, wanted to stay but at his 30 million salary fully guaranteed.

Paul loves Paul first and foremost, anything he says should probably be taken with a grain of salt on the way out.
