Besides being a piece of shit, Isiah as shadow gm is something I’ve been worried about since last year and looks like those concerns aren’t going away anytime soon.
Suns Trade For Beal!

Re-read my post guys. It says "Ishbia." Not "Isiah."

I get that too however Chris is smart enough to know he ain't worth 30 mil currently so maybe he should have been a little more willing to work out a deal to stay if he wanted it that bad. Basketball is a business first. His contract was currently bad business. Wish he could still be a Sun but I didn't ever read anything about his willingness to give up any money so I guess he and his 30 mil can go be a Wizard for the time being.Wally_West wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:28 pmI get the feeling that Chris Paul just really wanted to stay. Probably thought he’d finish his career up until the last few weeks.

Spot on. I'm sad he has gone as I loved what he did for the franchise but it seems (we don't know) that his ego wouldn't let him accept a smaller deal. As you say if he wanted to be here he had to have the self awareness to realise his level of performance no longer matches his contract.djy2j wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 12:52 pmI get that too however Chris is smart enough to know he ain't worth 30 mil currently so maybe he should have been a little more willing to work out a deal to stay if he wanted it that bad. CP3 is just bitter, you know how he is. Isiah is not a shadow gm. Book and KD recruit and they have the backing owner. Don’t go jumping off bridges.

CP3 is gonna end up in LA, he’ll be fine

Did I see a rumor that Kuzma was interested in coming our way?
Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
There’s been lots of them, but no real way for it to happen now.Vladimir_Taltos wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:14 pmDid I see a rumor that Kuzma was interested in coming our way?
Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
The Suns were interested but the only way was to include him in the Beal trade, like Goodwin, and since that didn't happen we have no shot at him anymoreVladimir_Taltos wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:14 pmDid I see a rumor that Kuzma was interested in coming our way?

On IG Kuz commented on a KD and Book story something about not everyone can fit in the suv. i like it. I'd love to have Paul still involved. He was one of the few, truly selfless players in league history who really knew the game and played it the right way. My fondest memories of the Suns will be when they were under the strong, wise floor leadership of Nash, Paul, and Kidd at the point.Vladimir_Taltos wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 3:55 pmCrazy idea...put this elsewhere not expect this...seems appropriate here...
a. Wiz negotiate a buyout w/Chris, he retires.
b. Suns hire Chris as a bench coach for this season, works on his health for the season.
c. Coming season, Chris unretires and joins as the second unit PG.
Just an idea...

Guess the thinking is that it'd be easier to trade DA for pieces later if needed? Or it's posturing to make DA feel more wanted by the Suns? Or proves his value to other teams?

I think we got deals on the back burner for Ayton and didn’t want to thwart those plans

Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
They literally got Beal for next to nothing. Why the hell would the Suns throw in their starting Center?

If he doesn’t opt out we could still trade for him.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:32 pmThere’s been lots of them, but no real way for it to happen now.Vladimir_Taltos wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:14 pmDid I see a rumor that Kuzma was interested in coming our way?

I didn't make a prediction.SunsSince92 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 11:34 amThe guy hasn't even played a minute in a Suns uni and we are already predicting that he is going to hold us to ransom in some messy breakup in 2 years time.INFORMER wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 9:55 amNot really the point, Jeremy.
Who cares if things go south and Bradley Beal forces the Suns to make a trade like the one Washington just did? I care.
Free Agency
DeMar Derozan for the minimum!
PG: Jordan McLaughlin, Killian Hayes, Kris Dunn, Spencer Dinwiddie, Monte Morris
C: Mo Bamba, Andre Drummond, James Wiseman, Goga Bitadze, Jay Huff

Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
True, but reports are he’s opting out. I wasn’t sure if Kuzma was a great fit before, but if he was iffy, he’s even more iffy now. We don’t need more scorers. So I’m not too interested in him anymore.JeremyG wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 3:13 pmIf he doesn’t opt out we could still trade for him.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:32 pmThere’s been lots of them, but no real way for it to happen now.Vladimir_Taltos wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 1:14 pmDid I see a rumor that Kuzma was interested in coming our way?

Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
Didn’t listen but reading on twitter, it seems Gambo was saying Chris Paul wasn’t interested in getting waived and coming back on the minimum, wanted to stay but at his 30 million salary fully guaranteed.
Re: Suns Trade For Beal!
Paul loves Paul first and foremost, anything he says should probably be taken with a grain of salt on the way out.
