Booker- 26 pts, 9-15, 10 ast.

Not bad from some who is not 100% and shouldn’t be playing ;)
Very true. Just think what his stat line would be if he was 100% and should be playing. Probably wouldn’t have had that 0 point first quarter and we would have won.

When it was tied at 116, I thought the Suns would win. Then the Spurs went on a 10-0 run and that was it.

I understand he’s the next big thing but good lord Wemby already has HOF whistle.
And this is just the start. Just our luck he has his breakout game against us. What if he continues to get better this season? It’s almost not fair when he gets the switch and some regular 6’7” guy is guarding him under the hoop.

Ended up 12-0…ya it’s almost like we tied the game and relaxed…I’m sure it wasn’t intentional, but I think it’s natural to be like, ok we made it back to even and not keep the same mentality of we have to catch up.

We don't really have the right kind of guy to defend him besides KD, and it's not ideal to put KD on him a lot for several reasons.

KBD is as close as it gets to the right defender for Wemby right now; physical and at least 6'8" with length. Nic Batum has defended him the best that I've seen, but I'm sure there's some shared history with the French national team at play in that situation.

Vogel seems to like him. He's not a physically gifted defender, but he does the right things. His 3 will fall eventually.

Yeah, pretty rough quarter from someone who’s rusty after
missing 3 games. Wonder what the rest of the team’s excuse is? 👀

The Suns shots didn't go down. They were all good looks.

The defensive side, OTOH... Wemby.

This has not been the start to the season that I envisioned. I could easily see another loss against Philly. I just hope Booker didn’t have any setbacks and is ready to go.

We have to play Saturday morning, basically a back-to-back, followed by an early Sunday game. So basically a back-to-back-to-back. 3 games in 2 1/2 days.

The trash officiating didn’t help either. I mean so many bad calls, missed calls, incorrect calls going both ways. It was just a garbage fire.

Also, after watching us play organized albeit sometimes boring ball for the last 3 years. It’s kind of hard watching this helter skelter stuff. Sometimes you see the flashes of what it can be and other times they’re looking really lost out there.

The overreacting from the Internet after 5 games is a sight to behold.

A few things: Many of Wembys points in the first half came after Gordon got switched on him. Cool I guess.

Wemby took 4 steps walking into that three right before half. How do 3 officials miss that?

The lady official had a very rough night. I've said that before also.

I'm not sure what Frank is doing with Yuta. Seems like he should be getting more open shots. He also makes a ton of mistakes on defense. Would have rather given Metu a chance out there tonight.

When does Vogel start coaching? Pop ran circles around him 2 games in a row.

Why not try Bol on Wemby? What better opportunity are you waiting for?

I'm starting to think the Suns need some sort of natural point guard on the roster. Feels like Book and KD get baited into alot more one on one bringing the ball up than. Just maybe to keep the defense a little on their heels.

It’s really annoying lol

It’s 5 games!!

Everyone forget how rough we looked in 20/21 when we started 8-8? Made the finals that year.

How about the very next year where started like gang busters dominated the whole league? Ended in the most embarrassing game 7 performance in recent nba history.

The early season is bit of a crap shoot, totally fine to wait more than 5 games before sounding the alarm bells.

It didn’t happen very often, but for a small moment I thought KBD defended him well
