I read once that the main goal of propaganda isn't to make you believe a lie. It's to make you not know what to believe, to doubt the truth. And you really see that with MAGA conspiracy people; they think everything is a psyop, a secret conspiracy, a plan, a scheme. They won't take anything at face value. They don't trust any source of news or information. They've effectively put a shield around themselves so that no new information or facts can enter.

I saw a poll showing all the different media sources. Turns out the Dems trust Republican media sources more than the Republicans. MAGA only trusts one source for info and that’s Trump. He’s who they go to for truth and honesty.

It looks like they may have a deal on the immigration / Ukraine / Israel bipartisan legislation?

Have they presented the bill to read yet? Is it any different than the last bill, that was "agreed" on in the Senate?

The last one wasn't given to read all that was in it, but the details included an amount of 5,000 illegal immigrants per day to be allowed, and the President wouldn't step in to curb it until it got to twice that number. So essentially it allowed 10,000 per day or 300,000 per month, or at the minimum 1.83 million per yr. Or more than 3 times the population of Wyoming every yr.

I can’t believe Trump would ever allow this to happen. He will shut it down or at least tell them it’s the most horrible deal ever in the history of deals. If it actually passed he would say it was his idea.

Like clockwork Trump urges Republicans to reject the deal. I decided to go to an outside source, France to get a different spin than the US one. This deal is a non starter. Any deal is a non starter in Washington.

Trump urges Republicans to reject Senate deal on border measures, Ukraine aid
Former US president Donald Trump urged Republicans Monday to reject a bipartisan Senate deal trading tough new border security measures for $60 billion in Ukraine funding and other national security priorities.
https://www.france24.com/en/americas/20 ... kraine-aid

Senators unveiled one of the harshest immigration bills in a generation Sunday, including significant restrictions that Biden has committed to signing into law.

The $118.3 billion package includes $60 billion for Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel, $10 billion in humanitarian aid, nearly $5 billion for Asia-Pacific partners including Taiwan, and $20 billion in new border funding.

It would be a major win for immigration hawks -- full of concessions that Democrats would normally have strongly opposed, such as the curbing of presidential discretion in allowing in refugees for humanitarian reasons, an expedited removal process and a mandate to close the border when apprehensions reach 5,000 daily.

It also includes none of the priorities Democrats typically push for, such as a path to citizenship for the country's estimated 11 million undocumented migrants.

But Trump has an iron grip on Republicans leading the House of Representatives, and has called repeatedly for the party to kill the legislation and deny Biden and his Democrats a political victory ahead of November's election.

"This Bill is a great gift to the Democrats, and a Death Wish for The Republican Party," Trump added.

Republicans would be so dumb not to take this bill. It is full of things they have wanted for years. You aren't going to get a better offer than this.

Good summary of the border deal from a Fox reporter.

It will show a totally broken and dysfunctional government if it doesn't go through.

It's a disaster and dead on arrival in the House. Many are calling it a career killer for those that wrote it.

Yep, we are officially broken. Unbelievable the power Trump has from the outside. He'll make an excellent dictator.

You want the bill to pass, because it's a boondoggle, gives Biden dictator power on immigration, and it passes the blame entirely onto the Reps if it went through.

I'm still waiting on your answer on the other many examples of the violent Right.

The 5,000 number is an average per day over a week, and it's also the minimum. It can go up to 8,500 or higher, before anything is expected to happen. Then it gives Biden more power to stop or(more likely) allow more. If there are any court challenges, it goes to DC courts for sole jurisidiction on ruling on this. We all know that the DC courts are packed with left wing judges, so it's always going to go with whatever Dictator Joe wants. It really gives Biden and Mayorkas dictator power over immigration. If you don't like it, tough shit, eat it anyway, and you better say you like it. I also don't like giving all these NGO's billions to continue facilitating and recruiting the worst of the worst to come and educate them on how to beat the system.

For an understanding on how this will go, you are talking at a minimum of 1.83 million are basically just let in. That's not slowing anything down, it's allowing it to stay at the current rates or worse. Everyone is going to be asking, "This problem hasn't gotten better. The border is still open. You f'n Republicans f'd us to keep the spigot turned on full blast". So both sides will blame the Reps and Biden can sit back and laugh maniacally. Sure that's awesome for you in the short term, but we will all get f'd in the long term.

What I like about it is that it does add 50,000 more legal immigrants added per year. That's it, that's the only thing. Otherwise, it's essentially a Ukraine bill, and apparently we have to continue that grift and money laundering scheme, because apparently the military industrial complex has these Senators over a barrell with some type of blackmail or greed for themselves.

If the law allows them, then by definition they are not illegal.

Well, I'm not quite sure that's how it's meant for this.
