Whoops. Not good, Bob. Only 27% of people polled think Biden has the mental and cognitive health to run for President. That's an 8% drop since the debate debacle.

State of crisis? Seems orchestrated.

Nobody in their right mind thinks Joe Biden is a good candidate, he's a robot. Dems have no shot with him, I feel like if they can put up a decent replacement they'll walk to a victory.

I don't know about this, but perhaps some others have a better idea.

Sorry, Democrats, Biden Is Your Man
They can’t convince him to withdraw—and if they do, then comes the hard part.

President Biden’s disastrous debate performance on Thursday had Democrats in a panic, speculating about how to replace him as their nominee. But by Friday many were backing off and reiterating their support for him. Even Barack Obama weighed in to support Mr. Biden, trying to reassure Democrats by tweeting: “Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know.”

Why the change of heart? Because Democrats quickly realized that replacing their nominee would be impossible to execute and tantamount to throwing in the towel.

A couple of alarming articles from Axios:

White House aides say Biden is only alert from 10 am - 4 pm:

Sounds like a National Security issue and the country is being run by unelected bureaucrats.

"Sharp as a tack" was the directed talking point of the DNC, and the corporate media was more than willing to repeat it and believe them.

Elon said:
They all turned on Biden in unison immediately. Very odd …
I swear, why do right-wingers turn into such conspiracy theory kooks? They all "turned on Biden in unison immediately" because they all watched his horrendous debate performance. There's no conspiracy here. They just all watched the same devastating event at the same time. Simple as that. Reading the replies to Elon's post it's just a soup of braindead kooks talking about who must be "orchestrating" the various responses to this by the entire mainstream media and political establishment. It's exhausting dealing with such mass stupidity.

(tweet about Biden having Lewy Body dementia)
He might or might not have that, but, I think it's pointless and unwise for folks on Twitter to try to give medical diagnoses. Folks on the left like to try to do this with Trump, saying they're certain he has narcissistic personality disorder or whatever other malady. Whether true or false, we're too far away from the person to know, and we certainly don't have any medical training to make that kind of call. It's mostly just people who dislike a public figure trying to smear them.

There is no conspiracy theory being said here, except your conspiracy theory that everything is a conspiracy theory. I think it's perfectly appropriate to say that the people close to Biden and his top aides have been doing their best to hide Biden's cognitive issues, and therefore someone else has been running the country. That is dangerous, as they haven't been elected to run the country. The corporate media just couldn't hide it anymore.

Even tonight, in what the media is calling a great night for Biden, he is still slurring his words in his speech!

Compare this year’s debate to the first debate in 2020:

The difference in less than 4 years is very alarming. His voice was strong, he was coherent, and he didn’t slur his words.

And it’s not 4 more years he’s asking for, it’s still almost 5! What makes anyone think he can serve another 5 years? The only debate should be about whether he can serve another 7 months, which CNN is finally giving voice to, via an op ed by Sen. Tillis: https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/01/opinions ... index.html

All I know is that this is a mess. We have the (orange) devil on one side and then all this on the other. I'd still take a pile of goo over the devil but this could be so much better. This is unlike any presidential run in the history of our country. I am definitely not an age-ist either. It's not the age, it's the ability at that age. Everybody is different. This will not end well. At least if Biden wins, somebody that is not the devil can and probably will step in.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Totally agree….

No matter who wins, there’s going to be an extremely pissed off base on the other side. It’s depressing as hell that we can’t find good, qualified people to elect that want to unite the country instead of dividing it.

Nodding at this article.
► Show Spoiler
Yeah, that's it exactly. My 85-year-old mom doesn't want to see any of it. She doesn't want to see Biden in that state. We were watching one of her favorite shows yesterday, CBS News Sunday Morning, and she made me fast forward through the debate content where they showed Biden stammering and unable to finish his thoughts. It was too painful for her to watch.

They did have an interesting section on aging later in the program though. One of the quotes was something like, "If you've seen one 80-year-old, you've seen one 80-year-old." Everybody ages differently. There are very sharp 94-year-olds out there. Norman Lear was amazingly sharp to the end in his 100s. Mel Brooks is another example.

Here, found it:
