Suns News: Week 17 2/16-2/22
Re: Suns News: Week 17 2/16-2/22
Waiving John Salmons? Holy mackerel. Just a minnow there; there's something fishy about that transaction. That's not the kind of player you want to bass your roster around. I mean, not to carp on it or anything, but I think we may have only traded him just for the halibut. It sounds like our interest in him was just a red herring. We can't just trout him out there with our other starters and expect him to keep up. Oh well; I know we're treating John kind of roughy by waiving him, but Moray Chu thinks eel be fine in the end. And so will the Suns, as long as they don't go sign a big stiff like Maciej Lamprey.

Appears to run the court pretty well. He'll need some time with our trainers this offseason. Gotta add weight.

He moves well and has a fluid stroke.
But so did Dan Langhi, who was a practice and workout All Star but MIA in games.
Give him time in the summer league and a season in the D-League and see what happens.

Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...

I love how a team's developmental affiliate can sign a player and develop him while the top level team retains his rights. It really changes the playing field and strategy for second round picks. Good for the players and good for the league.

OK. I am looking at Thomas Robinson's stats. He is a 12+ rebounder per 36. I know that doesn't mean he will do that given those minutes, but that is probably the type of player the Suns want to take a look at.
I am just worried about the Morris friendship. Sometimes too close relationships on a team work against you (Zoran eg).

I feel like Roinson might sign with Miami. He may start there.

With Bosh out, it could be a good opportunity.Shabazz wrote:I feel like Roinson might sign with Miami. He may start there.

I'm going to start calling Marshall "The Boomerang Kid".The Bobster wrote:Also - when the Suns signed Barron they also waived Kendall Marshall and John Salmons.
How many times do you have to get rid of a bad 1st round pick anyway?
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
