Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Guy is basically broadcasting other teams Hopeium. It’s the same bs when people in other organizations light up the trade machine and tell a reporters their trade idea and that becomes “rival execs think X team could trade this star player for this.”
It’s nonsense. I know everyone on the board wants this but we are not trading KD this season. If we get Jimmy, expect the KD to stick around even longer. Sorry to make everyone sad on but that’s what’s happening.

Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
I don't think they'd trade KD this season even if the Butler thing falls thru. You may get more in the offseason anyway.
Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
I think KD is gone this summer if we don’t get Butler…also Gambo did confirm the suns have been taking calls on KD

Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
I remember people worried after the KD trade, KD would force us to go get players he wanted. I feel like the Jimmy stuff is the first instance of this. Especially tying the extension talk to getting Jimmy. Whether the Jimmy thing happens or not. No way he gets traded this deadline. I do also think that we totally getting Jimmy. I know many people have doubts, and might take til Thursday but i think it gets done.
I think the whole “no team wants Beal” and he won’t waive his no trade clause is all bs too. I know I’m in the minority on that thinking too. I think the hold up is just Miami. We wouldn’t be pursuing this hard if we didn’t already have those boxes checked. I think the ball is purely in Miami’s court right now.

After this long, Ish needs to just hold steady and wait. Riley will blink he's bluffing.

Only 1 team by name. Other reports make it sound like multiple teams have calledSunsSince92 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:03 amBy calls I think he meant 1 call, from the Warriors, who are desperate to pair someone up with Steph and not waste his final years.

Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
Because nobody who is cheering for the Suns wants Brad on this team. It ain't working and he's the first domino that gotta go. This ain't the Sims, I'm not here to develop and watch a human being and his family. I'm here to watch the Suns win and Brad is a contraindication to that.SunsSince92 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 9:01 amAgreed - they traded for him knowing he had a NTC so why should he waive it on a whim if he enjoys living in Phoenix with his family?
You would think when the noise is that loud that the fanbase wants you gone, you'd welcome a change of scenery so your kids don't have to hear it

Re: Jimmy Butler trade rumors
This talk about talking calls about KD is such a non story. Gambo, Gerald and others already reported we are and that we are telling teams, we’re not interested at the moment but we’ll listen. Because that’s what you’re supposed to do.
We’re only getting a uptick in calls about KD cuz certain dumbass traded Luka, now everyone is trying to find the next dumbass to do something stupid, including us, seeing if they gonna offer something stupid we can’t turn down. Lol what if the bucks just offered us Giannis out the blue haha.
I just think these calls are much ado about nothing right now. Come the offseason, with the way the season is going. Of course that’ll be a different story but right now. It’s just hopeium for the blow it up crowd.

And please, let's be real. Brad isn't an idiot and he's a human being, and these stories of him refusing to waive his NTC are bullshit. If he really said he's not waiving it, the Suns wouldn't be still aggressively after Butler. We'd have pivoted and made a different kind of deal a while back. Everyone from Windhorst to Gambo to Shams has verified the suns keep trying to trade Beal. You think the Suns wouldn't kill this 2 months ago if Brad said no?

OK, so is he gone or not after the trading deadline? Butler must really not be paying much attention to this team if he still wants to be here.
