Ya he’s not a leader. He has the ability to separate those two things, but I can see that maybe a lot of our guys can’t and they are following his lead. So ya I can see the problem there. I do think we need a leader.JJ Slim wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:17 amYep that's the game. I don't question his skills. I question his leadership and seriousness. They had beat the Celtics in round 1 4-1 and came up against the Bucks in round 2. They lost game 6, were tied 3-3 and game 7 went to OT. I remember watching it and the game before and when it looked like they were going to lose I saw Durant joking around even with players from the other team. I thought at the time that was why they were going to lose was because in these types of battles everyone on the other team is your enemy. Of course I had stepped away from basketball during the 2010's and had not seen him in GS so this was the impression I had of him. And also of course I forgot all about this when the Suns traded for him. But now it is a memory burned into my raging brain. It hurts even worse because they should have won and then beat Atlanta in the conf finals. But you all remember what happened after that.

You nailed it! Perfect description. He's just going to concentrate on playing his best and then whatever happens, happens. (I sure wish he'd concentrate on stopping the stupid turnovers!)JJ Slim wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:17 amYep that's the game. I don't question his skills. I question his leadership and seriousness. I dig your avatar by the way Drew, brings back childhood memories.Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:53 amUgh. This sucks. I guess I’d be fine moving off of KD if we got some youth and picks. I’m not interested in watching a big three fight to get into the playoffs.
KD for a Jabari Smith package with a bunch of picks would work. Smith and Dunn could be a nice defensive unit. Move off of Allen for a pick too. I doubt KD wants leave either. Where the hell is all our leverage?

Mark would have been great on the Suns. Too bad they couldn't have figured out a trade for him instead of Richards.Split T wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:52 amI guess the 7’2 is with shoes…I just pulled it from google and rounded up the wingspan. I thought you might have been talking about Khaman Maluach, who is 7'2".

Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
We're not going to trade Durant and will lose him to free agency next year with nothing to show for it.
Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
Also....I understand player/agent relationships but why are we indebted to KD or acting like he's got the NTC. If there's a deal to be made, he's gotta go. I wouldn't ask his approval to trade him to GS or Houston. Pack your bags.
Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
No kidding…. Horrible management of assets.

Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
Shams is reporting we are still taking calls on KD and keeps stressing KD is not asking out lol
It’s clear we pissed him off by trying to nico Harrison him smh. What a cluster fuck of a season.
We were about to trade him for garbage behind his back lol
Pissing off your star player is a risk in this business but we could’ve at least cooked up a better deal so it wouldn’t as embarrassing haha.

Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
Like I said before, these teams want players that want to play for them. They're not going to make the deal if KD says he doesn't want to be there. It's on their side, not ours.

Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
We don’t owe KD anything but I just dont get doing silly shit. Just bigger joke in the league now. Apparently it’s because we don’t know if he was gonna sign his contract extension??? Well just ask him you fuckin dopes. If he won’t give a clear answer then just tell him straight up we gonna explore deals and if he has a place in mind, we’ll try our best to help. This player relationship stuff don’t got be complicated. At least in this case it didn’t have to be. Now it’s a cluster fuck and we might’ve pissed off our franchise’s best player too. Great.

Yay! Hooray for a lost season. Ishbia took the Suns from the Finals to mediocrity in 2 seconds flat. Quite an accomplishment.

So basically, they've given up on this season.
