I read that our FO actually could have taken Whitmore but wanted what we got (specifically all the 2nd round picks) more. Was that a good choice?

He might not fit with how they're building the team and while it's nice to get talent/players back, the 2nds may be more useful to us as sweeteners in trade to move off Allen or O'Neale. Whitmore's also got a rep for being a blackhole on offense and we might not have wanted to take a chance adding him.

Yep, it was known we preferred 2nd round picks to Whitmore. Remember, we moved up in the draft to get Fleming and Brea.
