This guy was fun for a bit:
I hearted your Kurt Rambis post, Boney, and then I had to take it away as I kept reading. I grew up with Shawn Marion and he was part of the 2004-2007 playoff runs! ;-)

This guy was the most important piece in the trade that changed the Suns' history.

For me #30 will be this gentleman, Uncle Cliffy himself, a very talented Sun who hit some absolute dagger shots and played his ass off for us. Sadly we lost him in 2020 at the young age of 53 to lymphoma. RIP.

Always say Cliffy was 20-30 years ahead of his time. He'd be paid like JJJ now.

Perfect PF/C for today's game.

At #29 we have the big Papa Bear himself, Paul Silas, who played with the Suns from 1969-72, averaging a double-double in points and rebounds each season. A 1972 All-Star and a strong and tough mofo. Distinguished himself even more with his coaching career. We lost him just a few years ago (Dec 2022) to cardiac arrest.

There's only one Sun who wore this number...

Lang played for us from 88-92 and was part of the Barkley trade along with Jeff Hornacek and others. I remember him being a good center but you wouldn't think he was super impactful just based on his stats. In 1992 he averaged just 7.7 ppg and 6.7 rpg, but a whopping 2.5 blocks. He played just one season in Philly before going to ATL where he still lives and works today (a devout Christian, he works as their team chaplain).

Not to be confused with Richard Dumas.

#26 is a bit of slim pickings. Jud Buechler technically wore #26 for us for a season, but I don't think he ever saw the court, because I cannot find a single image of him wearing it. This guy wore 26 for two years for us, but meh:

It might be prudent to do a #25 + #1 pairing here, because there are several memorable #25s in Suns history.

Speaking of #25, an interesting fact is that the Suns current jersey numbers only go as high as #25. And that is worn by new Sun Jared Butler. (if he makes the team; click to expand)

Should've given Williams or Maluach #35 just to send a message.

The original free agent, Tom Chambers, is here at #24. I probably remember him most from video games, haha, when I'd play as the Suns and just brutally dunk over everyone as Chambers over and over. DJ also wore #24 but I have to go with the man who has 24 hanging in the Suns rafters.
