Mark Williams was awesome tonight with 22 points on 7-9 shooting along with 7 rebounds. Gillespie was the man as usual with 19, 6, and 4. Lots of other guys contributed, including Oso who gave us 10 points on 5-6 shooting and 5 boards. Even guys like Goodwin (9) and BOOYEA! (5) chipped in. Really impressive win for such a short-handed team.

Favorite win of the year. I really hate the Wolves. They are my new San Antonio.

I think you guys are forgetting we don't win with the most important stat of the night: MARK WILLIAMS 1-1 3PT!

Mark Williams and CG have been the two
Most impressive players on this roster.
Grayson has a personality again on the court, welcome back.
Royce can be traded for a future asset or a 4

While I myself would welcome a mostly-blow-it-up plan, I get that there's no way we are doing that. And if you start from the assumption that we are NOT blowing it up, I think you only trade a rotation piece if either (a) you can get a clearly better and more impactful player back, or (b) you don't think we would be able to retain the player this offseason. We will need to try to re-sign Gillespie and Williams, both of whom have been hugely important for this team. We're just barely under the luxury tax, and I haven't attempted to crunch any cap numbers, so I don't know if we will really have the space or ability to sign them. If you got the sense that Williams or Gillespie was going to walk, maybe you listen to trades, but otherwise I think they're going to keep the team together. I would listen to trade calls for Dillon Brooks, despite his strong play this season, because I think he's an asset that will depreciate a lot over time. But that's just my dumb casual fan idiot opinion.

We hold bird rights on Mark Williams, so we can pay him whatever Ishbia is willing to spend. The tax or aprons won’t get in the way.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Mon Dec 08, 2025 11:04 pmWhile I myself would welcome a mostly-blow-it-up plan, I get that there's no way we are doing that. For Gillespie, we have early bird rights and can pay him up to 105% of the average salary. That probably is going to be about 12.5 million in year 1. 4 years/56 million is probably the highest we can offer. The tax and aprons won’t stop us here either.
Now Ishbia could decide to not pay the tax or to avoid going into the aprons, but we could go into them if we want.
I do understand wanting to trade Dillon, but I think the chances are almost zero. We targeted him in the KD trade and he is exactly what Ishbia wants for this team. Gotta credit him as someone who really did change the culture here. I think he’s a cornerstone for the next 2-3 years at least.
Royce and Grayson still seem to be the trade pieces if we do make a move. When healthy, we probably have too many guards. You’d have to play very small to find minutes for Booker, Green, Gillespie, Grayson, and Goodwin…not to mention Royce who is also guard sized. Goodwin can play up, but he’s really the only one. Even if you consider his minutes at the wing, there’s not enough guards minutes to go around for the other 4…I don’t want to trade Grayson, but I can see it because of this.
I think you just stand pat for the most part though. Just play a little small or cut back on some minutes. We haven’t been fully healthy yet this year, so who knows if we ever even have all our guards healthy for an extended stretch. Maybe just see what a Royce/Richards trade can get you and just be happy with a playoff appearance. Next summer you can reevaluate with better options. I’m not saying i recommend it, but we would have access to trading 2 1st round picks in the summer.

Dragic had the size and speed to get to the rim and finish that Collin really doesn’t have…though I think Collin is a better shooter, especially off movement.
I tried to do a search for players at Collin’s size that have put up the points/rebounds/assists/steals and 3pt % and it came back with 11 other seasons(5 of them were Steph curry lol). Other guys were Kyrie, Lowry, CP3(with a lot more assists)and McConnell(though nowhere near the volume from 3).
He really has an interesting blend of scrappy D, movement shooting, and enough on ball juice to keep the offense moving. The younger, skinnier and quicker Lowry might not be a bad comp.

First of his career apparently. He looked good and confident too.
Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
