I think McCollum fits with Dyson and Johnson better as a guy who can play in a catch and shoot mid range role than just a ball hog bad shot taker.

I don't know what ATL is thinking if they're also entertaining an AD trade. Trade Trae for CJ, an expiring deal, then bring on AD with his contract and injury history? And they'd have to send back Porzingis, also an expiring contract, in any AD deal. If they wanted a full reset, you have CJ, KP and Kennard off the cap at the end of the year. Why bring on AD? And what kind of fit is AD next to Jalen Johnson?

Trae sucks, addiction by subtraction for Atlanta…they’ve been awful with him this year. CJ is better for them.

I heard it described well on a recent podcast as follows. The East sucks so badly that almost any team thinks they are just one move away from having a serious chance to go to the Finals. So teams are looking at splashy moves like AD as a chance to get there.

That's mostly true of the East this year but that's essentially a 3-5 month plan with CJ expiring. They could re-sign him, but then it's pretty much purgatory with an aging CJ and AD surrounding Jalen Johnson, whom they supposedly want to build around. I understand a team on the bubble thinking they're one move away but the Hawks' plan just seems illogical.

Most of AD’s problems are his paycheck and injury history. Basketball wise he fits quite well next to Johnson. CJ is going to play a secondary playmaker role next to Johnson or maybe even better come off the bench as the microwave scorer type. I don’t think this is a huge stretch for them to see this as a viable path.

I wonder if there’s some way we can get in on this AD trade and get our hands on Okongwu.

Does Atlanta keep the Pels pick in this AD trade scenario? I think they could kinda have a two timeline thing here with CJ/AD/NAW and Jalen Johnson/Rissacher/Pels Draft pick.

Oh please please please, let the Lakers trade for Kuminga (giving up nontrivial assets to do so). I would love for them to have yet another lazy soft player on a big contract in their rotation.

I don't believe there is a single move to be made that saves the Lakers team built around 3 guys who need the ball and can't defend a chair, oh and also Ayton.

I actually like Kuminga and was good with trading for him in the off-season, but with how we're playing, I would be hard-pressed to make a deal. The Warriors would have to basically give him to us at this point. But I do think he's a really good player that is just trapped in a poor fit.

But would he fit better here? I kind of just hate to mess with what we have and don't know if he'd fit in or not. But in Ott I trust. But supposedly, we're no longer interested anyway.

The only thing on my wish list is a small ball stretch 5 aka legit sized stretch 4. I like what Oso has done these last 10 games but I think we need an upgrade at his role.

Yeah, that'd be cool. We currently have a plethora of good guards we could use to pursue one but I'm just not sure who that player is. Sounds good on paper though. And I appreciate you giving Oso some props. Tough for guys to get off your shit list.

He's off it lol. He contributes. I just think he's the glaring weakness in a position that he's our best option in certain matchups.

You won't find someone with his level of basketball intelligence, combined with 1-5 switchability, with ZERO ego.

He can't shoot........ boo hoo; he can do everything else a team needs

Or rebound. You know, the most important trait at the 5.
